I stayed two nights, four days apart. The room for my first stay was ok, but very worn. Shower was good. Dinner was good, breakfast was good.
My room for the second stay was superficially ok, worn again but good shower. Dinner was excellent, staff very obliging, but the bed!,,,,,
There were two single beds in the room, and I chose the one next to the bathroom. When I sat on it to get ready for bed, I thought I would sink to the floor. I tried to sleep on it, but the old springs were poking me in the back, so around one o clock I gave up and climbed onto the other bed, taking my quilt and pillows with me. Better, but still not good.
What a shame. They must chuck out the old mattresses - they spoil an otherwise interesting hotel, and let down a great restaurant and good staff.
