Nice, but know before you go
We share the positive reviews of many aspects of this property. It's very spacious (although the swing of some doors cause odd pinch points). We were only three, and would have used only the ground floor but for an issue (see later). The kitchen is well equipped, the induction stovetop was great to cook on.
The location is properly noted, but Marie's L'épicerie in the village was closed for August vacation. (Which I imagine is an annual event.) That meant we needed to drive 6+ km for morning bread and shopping.
As implied in a couple of photos, the outdoor area is almost entirely covered in paving stones. Oddly, there was no outdoor lighting. We asked and received some tea candle lamps, which were lovely but didn't produce enough light for reading, playing cards, etc. Having to duck under the vines to get into the house became tedious.
The house instructions are in French. In a few instances (e.g., for the stovetop) more extensive and multilingual guides would be welcome.
The "queen" beds are just 140cm wide -- narrower than many couples may be used to. (Perhaps this is a French nomenclature issue.) After two nights, I moved to a single bed on the second floor. The stairway is quite steep and the steps narrow (by German standards anyway); perhaps a challenge for the elderly and young.
