Desk clerk was unusually cold upon our arrival - not very welcoming. Told her that we could only stay one night instead of two and she curtly explained that only Expedia can do that change for us. I called Expedia and they took care of the change but upon checkout this same person then refused to provide a statement of charges again referring us to Expedia. So we left not knowing how much we had been billed by Hyatt. This is the first time a hotel booked through Expedia refused to provide a statement of charges upon checkout.
Hotel is in the heart of the popular restaurant and shops district but personal security is an issue since there are many street people who also frequent the area. Be prepared for some encounters with people who solicit money or who unfortunately are either homeless or are suffering from some form of distress. This is an Omaha city problem to resolve and not a hotel problem.
The hotel requires a room key to enter the front entrance and to use the elevator which is good under the circumstances.
On the plus side our room was nicely appointed and clean. However, when it was busy, like on a Saturday morning, we had to wait well over 5 minutes for one of the elevators to show up.
Breakfast was of average quality - the usual eggs, sausage, potatoes and biscuits and gravy.
Overall, we did not enjoy our stay at this hotel as much as I had expected for a Hyatt. We were happy to get out of there.
