Good-sized, comfortable house on large, dog friendly section, with a well appointed kitchen. Although the house and surrounds were tidy, there were a few things that could have been better: 1) it smelled a bit musty on arrival, as if not occupied for a while, 2) there was no key for the rear screen door, 3) provision of facecloths would have been useful, 4) the wooden joinery, normally a plus for a house of this vintage, could use some maintenance: at least two of the windows were 'sticky' and difficult to close without considerable force
Most significantly, the email communications regarding access to the property were frankly inadequate: the property address was not provided and the linked map (also lacking an address) was erroneous, off by several blocks. It took nearly an hour to locate the property, finally thanks to a helpful real estate agent. The company managing communications (Vrbo) was apparently responsible for this glitch and failed to respond to our pleas for assistance. Even before we arrived, Vrbo's comms were problematic in 2 respects: 1) we were prompted to login and pay on a website even though we had already paid the full fee, 2) responding to Vrbo was awkward and unproductive, and the resulting onslaught of emailed adverts and "special offers" quite unwelcome.
