Hotel sits in middle of a great shopping district, very walkable to food and buses so you can see the tourist sites. It was perfect location for what we needed and staff was friendly. Breakfast was delicious! Even offered green smoothies which made me happy.

We had a fabulous breakfast buffet with a good variety and fresh healthy choices. The hotel is located near a tram line, a train station, shopping high street and many restaurant options, making it a convenient place from which to explore Oslo. The staff were super friendly, greeting guests every time we walked through the lobby. I strongly recommend this hotel. Thank you.

The best in OSLO

Central, comfortable hotel with crowded breakfast
Thon Hotel Gyldenløve is centrally located in Oslo, in a reasonably quiet place. Our room was spotless and modern, albeit with a very small bathroom. The bed is comfortable, the TV is big and it's all rather nice, and at a good value all things considered. Breakfast is good by international standards, and average by Norwegian standards. It's served in a adjacent restaurant, which unfortunately is small and crowded, even at 07:00 in the morning. Their gluten free selection is good but not excellent – bread, sweets and cereals are all available, but nothing fantastic. The coffee is terrible.
