At first, the price seemed reasonable, but then we discovered breakfast was not a part of the package. I will stay at the Hampton next time which includes breakfast. Coffee was available but cheap set-up. Overall, did not match the promoted atmosphere and history of the hotel. Just an average place. The Pickle and Pig was excellent food. Service was not the professional level I would expect from initial impression when walking in. Waitress did not have a servant approach to her role.

I have stayed at this property many times throughout the years. It is comfortable and very conveniently located. The negatives: It is dated and could definitely use a refresh, the towels are thin and scratchy and you are not given many, the heat/AC is very noisy, and if there are people in the room above - you will hear them.

I stayed here for the first time and was not impressed. I did not find it very comfortable. I was automatically charged for parking, when I didn't use the parking lot, had trouble getting someone at the front desk and when I did, he was not very helpful. I prefer the Hampton Inn in Oxford.
