Overall it wasn’t bad, but the property neglected to tell us until after we’d booked the room that they had no continental breakfast, and that it was an extra fee per night for our dog. These things are ok but should be told before they book in case they want to book somewhere else..also we ask to ask more than once for toilet paper and towels for our room. The people above us were crazy loud stomping around all night… not a terrible stay but could’ve been better. FYI for future bookers, this place is undergoing major remodeling and doesn’t have many amenities.. just so you one before you book!

Although the facility is currently under renovations, it was pleasant, it will be nice when they complete it all. I like how there were many services available (rafting, tubing, tours, hot air balloon rides, etc.) all available from the lodge.

The room itself was clean and nice. The halls smell old and musty. The area of the hotel we were in was under renovation . The letter I received from the hotel AFTER making a non-refundable reservation follows. Pagosa Lodge is under extensive renovation, therefore we do not have a pool or hot tub. Continental Breakfast is not currently being served. Instead, we will have coffee tea and packaged pastries available in the lobby from 7:30am to 9:00am. Front Desk hours will be attended between 7:00am-11:00pm only. We ask that you contact us if you are traveling with a pet. We do accommodate pet, but not every room is pet-friendly. Please contact the front desk at 970-731-4141 if you intend to check in after 10pm. Check-in: 3PM 2024-05-26 Check out: 11AM 2024-05-27 We thank you for your understanding and cooperation. The remodel has a long way to go (it's been going on for at least 5 years!). Our room was nice, but no USB port. The grounds are all weeds. The exterior wood trim is rotting. The hallway ceiling was hanging dangerously from water damage. Our room's deck was filthy with bird poop and rotted wood. There was no screen on the sliding glass door so we were afraid the pooping swallows would fly in. Broken down vehicles in the parking lot. No pool, breakfast, restaurant. Hopefully the new owner will get it fixed up.

Run down facilities and cigarette odors
The building is only partially in use and in very poor condition. The cleanliness and maintenance of our room was good but outside the room it was awful. We complained the first day about the overwhelming cigarette odor in the hallway near our room which continued throughout our stay. There is trash and animal waste all over the grounds. The washer and dryer for guest use were broken. After hours, there is no one to help if you get locked out. On a positive note, they accept pets and we were glad to be able to have our four-legged baby with us the whole time. The do appear to be under renovations so we are hopeful that it will be better in the future.

We stayed in a deluxe room 2nd floor overlooking the Mother Spring. So nice because so close to the adult springs and firepits. Very relaxing and really appreciate the sleep info in the room.

Choose this hotel specifically for the pool, breakfast, and gym amenities. After booking online, I get an email that breakfast and pool are closed. Ok, well at least I still have the gym. Except once I check into my room onsite, I'm told the gym is closed as well. If you're going to not be offering amenities, then make sure to actually mention that in your listings

Worst place I have ever stayed & I am not a fancy, all inclusive person. The room was Filthy and we all were sick the entire time we stayed in the room. Cough, congested, from the dust and dirty ac filter. Location is good but other than that, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Convenient hotel
Great hotel currently under renovation. It’s a bit dated but very nice overall. We always stay here because they are pet friendly. There’s a few restaurants nearby as well as a Walmart which make it very convenient.

Fabulous! What a wonderful place to celebrate Christmas for our entire family. My nephew couldn't have said it better - "Pictures did not do the lodge justice". It was far and above what we were expecting. VIP Services were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Thank you to everyone involved. It was truly an adventure of a lifetime for me and my family. Ages ranged from four years old (my great-granddaughter) to seventy-four (my brother-in-law the Viet Nam Veteran) and we were all thrilled with the Pagosa Luxury Lodge. Thank you & Happy New Year everyone!
