A charming, traditional hotel overall. However, it should be noted that the room lacks air conditioning, which may cause discomfort during warmer periods. As a result, we had to request a fan for additional cooling. Canine-friendly establishment.

The Hotel was a lovely classy place, the building was unique. Breakfast was a delight. The service was excellent too. nothing to dislike here. We hope to find time to stay again sometime soon. Top marks on everything. The Sea Shanty Singers were most entertaining as well.

When you walk into the Redcliffe Hotel the atmosphere is redolent of a disappearing world. Luxuriant decor, a warm welcome, and attentive and courteous staff. This is nostalgia on steroids but with all modern amenities. The breakfasts, included in the price, are superb and set you up for the day. The view of Torbay from the restaurant is breathtaking. This was my first visit to the hotel since spending a superb Christmas there some 20 years ago and standards had not slipped one iota. No wonder the writer Dick Francis always took his holidays there.

Just spent 3 very happy nights at the Redcliffe Hotel. The staff in all sections were very friendly and courteous. The menus were somewhat limited but that being said the good we did order was of top quality and we thoroughly enjoyed each meal we had there. The hotel itself looks very old and whilst it could be taken for outdated it was this tgave it sone charm. Very modern was the indoor swimming pool. It had a lovely jacuzzi and a stream room. It has a gym with very modern equipment but strangely the electric sockets they were plugged into didn't seem to work. Maybe there was a master switch that needed to be turned on or ask reception but we didn't bother with either. All in all it's a 3 star hotel and for the experience we had we were more than happy. We'll probably be back in Paignton again and if so would definitely book into this hotel.

It's in an amazing loaction. Not far from the train or bus station. Very easy accessible. Definitely would go again. The dining experience was top notch, silver service dinner and the food qas amazing. The staff are very friendly and the hotel has a warm welcoming atmosphere.

The hotel is perfectly situated on the sea front. It has 2 heated pools, 1 indoors and 1 outdoors. Beautiful views. Staff are very friendly and happy in their work. We loved this hotel and its ambiance.

Old fashioned charm
We booked a room for my parents in law as we felt the sea views and old fashioned charm would be appreciated by them. The hotel were kind enough to let us ‘dress’ the room before they arrived to make it that little bit special. They very much enjoyed their stay, especially the spa.
