Karaoke wasn't available one night that my group walked into Dj room. A Dj man said no karaoke. However, couple later; there were karaoke playing for other group. Confuse us? And disapoointed.

Property was well kept. The people are very nice. Our room was supplied with nice towels and the bed was good. The speciality restaurants were nice, the food was good, but once the service was very slow. The pools were nice, one that was more quiet. Overall, it was a nice holiday.

The resort is beautiful, quiet, and not crowded. The room and furniture needs upgrade but not a big issue with me. The bed is comfortable. Check-in took too long. Only one person doing check in. Also disorganized. Our group of 4 arrived a day late due to flight was turned around then cancelation due to maintenance issue. We were charged the first night that we did not make it. When we arrived the next day, our rooms were not ready. Finally got out rooms but not together how we have requested. I hate to say it but they gave our rooms to someone else and got paid twice for our rooms. Disappointed with the food. Same everyday. The ladies in the buffet dinning area were very friendly. The shuttle guys and orher staffs are very friendly.

The staff was amazing except for like one or two persons at the main buffet but the over all experience was amazing, the place is so amazing and relaxing. I enjoyed everything about this place, the beach was literally on the resort and they had an amazing pool with a bar. Would definitely go to this place again. Being in Costa Rica really make you feel like you are literally living life. Love this place so much.

I like the all inclusive and adults only. No kids running around and need not worry about cooking or finding places to eat. What could be improved is the foods. I wish there are special menu to be featured each day of the week or taste a bit better.

What I like most was the convenience of excursions (package for purchasing) and food options. Literally all inclusive food including drinks but for top shelf you’ll new to upgrade to premium. Beautiful property with several amenities including a private beach. I definitely recommend this resort. What I dislike to say the least… Shopping and overall neighborhood wasn’t walkable you had to uber or taxi to the nearest town since the resort sits on the top of a mountain.

Fun getaway. Beautiful property. Felt safe. The tours offered by the resort were fun, reasonable pricing. All inclusive buffets were a bit repetitive and hit or miss in terms of quality. The evening restaurant food was much better and required reservations. If you purchase the premium drink option you might like the drinks more. Cocktails were a bit too sour and weak.

Most staff members were great to deal with. Scheduling the additional restaurants seemed very difficult and cumbersome without much help from the scheduling Staff. I was denied service one night due to a scheduling error on their part. Also, food quality seem to be fairly low

Located on the side of a hill - everything was uphill or downhill and lots of distance between, tough on older people. Reception was slow for check-in, making dining reservations were difficult - only one person was able to do them and if she was busy doing a check-in nobody else could step in.

Lovely room, very comfortable bed and pillows. Amazing view from our room of the ocean. Stunning property and grounds. Very nice pool. Steps down to the great beach, lots of loungers and shade under the trees where you can spot Capuchin monkeys and other animals. Will stay longer next time. Highly recommend for rest, relaxation and good food. Very close to Liberia airport.

This property was great for the views and the fact it was adult only. Besides housekeeping. Staff is not very hospitable. You get a person here or there. I've stayed at other barcelo properties and this resort is not close to measuring up. First room had nothing in the mini fridge and dirty cups. Got served raw chicken twice, no one cared. and air conditioner stopped working. We called and then went out for the day and nothing was done. Only time something was done was when i had to go and get mad at the front desk... 8 hours later from when i called, i finally got a new room, without a view- manager didn't care about that. I save my money all year to go somewhere nice. Definitely wasnt up to par to all other 5 star resorts I've stayed at before.

Food was the same every day. Service was not the best. Supposed to get 2 bottles of water every day and we never did. Had to ask for towels every day, too. They took the dirty ones but didnt replace them. Beds not comfortable. The area is hilly, which is fine. But waiting for a shuttle if you choose too can sometimes be long.I guess on Wed the person who services the pool for cocktails has a day off. Just fyi.. We heard from others the resort has gotten worse over the last few years. Be watchfu of your money and property. There is theft at this resort. Management is unresponsive.
