Basic hotel room which met our needs for somewhere clean and safe to sleep. Common areas are cute and clean. It is not in a high tourist area, but it is easy enough to walk/taxi/uber anywhere. Nice room for budget travel.

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Canova in Panama on multiple occasions, and each time, it truly feels like coming home. I can’t express enough how much I adore this hotel, and if I could, I would live here! The location of Canova is absolutely perfect. It is very close the breathtaking Cinta Costera, where I can go to exercise and take in the stunning views of the water. Whether it’s watching the sunrise or taking a sunset walk, the views are simply magical. What sets Canova apart from other hotels, however, is the exceptional service and the personal touch from Emilio, the owner. Emilio's front desk team is very professional and they always provide the best service and exceed my expectations with the little things ....always remembering my name and preferences, my favorite rooms and other details that make my stay even more comfortable. I love the positive quotes displayed on the walls. They radiate positivity and mindfulness, perfectly complementing the beautiful plants. I love the walkability of the area and if you are looking to explore, Casco Viejo, it is just a few minutes away. Every time I visit, I feel so at ease, and I truly look forward to returning. Canova is more than just a hotel; it’s a haven, a place that feels like a true sanctuary. The property is clean. The first staff hardly spoke english though she was kind. Second staff a gentleman spoke english and was kind. But its a great clean space. What i didn't like was the area of the hotel. Its unsafe and its in a beaten side of town.

The property is in an older part of the city. Nice area, nice people all over. We walked 3 hours after arriving. Problem, there was break in, yet they want to keep your key. Upon returning there were police. Clients were accusing the hotel of continually charging their card for $35. So we never stsyed, grabbed our stuff and left.

The Hotel was nice, clean, staff very friendly. If it was the hotel I would recommend however the area the property is in is the bad part of town. It is a dangerous area. My cab driver warned as he dropped me off, no security (police) in the area.

Good and clean. Metro station and shops nearby. You can also walk to the old town if you want or take one metro stop. No breakfast or fridge in the room, but that wasnt an issue. Very good price to a clean hotel well located. We stayed total of 4 nights. Free street parking right in front of the hotel.
