The property was show as beautiful in the photos. It was rundown. Tiny narrow halls. Tiny rickety lift. Very beaten up old place. Room was clean. Staff amazing!!

I stayed for one night in September because it is convenient for Gare du Nord. The room was small, noisy, little or no soundproofing but clean. Staff helpful. However, the colour scheme was terrible- sage green, olive green and dull green. The worst aspect is that it has obviously had a very bodged make over. Little things like poor repairs to tiling, loose carpet at door. thresholds etc. Look closely and this is very evident. The hallway carpet looks like a team of builders have passed through. Very off putting. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I did not know what to expect. The pictures are definitely a bit deceiving. This hotel is amongst all these row house type hotels in this area. Our room was in the back of the main floor and had spotty WiFi service. For 4 people, 3 beds, it was a rectangular room with minimal open space. Bathroom was fine though a bit small, but TV was small by new standards. The location is good since it's close to Paddington Station, and around the corner there are shops and dining options.

Area shops and bakeries close early and area becomes less lively with some street people about at night. Very close to train station and direct by train from CDG, making it quite convenient from a transportation POV. Hotel rooms are well-appointed and well-kept. Lovely floor-to-ceiling windows and some rooms with small balconies. Staff is very helpful.

Only 2 minutes away from Gard du Nord, staff very friendly, Hotel is on Magenta boulevard which is a major thoroughfare with loud traffic noise 24/7. The hotel Avalon could do with a revamp to make it more appealing and only has a tiny lift for 3-4 person. Rooms are small with a little balcony.

An okay property at best, the breakfast was so terrible wouldn’t recommend paying such extortionate prices for a sub standard continental breakfast. The rooms were okay with very dated bathrooms, at least the bed was decent with newer carpet but that carpets in the communal areas left a lot to be desired. The lift often at times didn’t work and it’s the smallest lift you have ever seen can hardly get two adults with their luggage and it doesn’t help that there was only one for the entire hotel. Considering how much we paid you wound expect Stellar service but I feel they could do better of make it cheaper

The communal areas are quite basic and look in need of some TLC. The room itself was mostly very nice. We stayed in a family room and it was clean, modern and spacious however there was a large crack in the wardrobe mirror which might not be the safest for small children. The bathroom was very small but again clean and had everything you would need/expect. We didn’t have breakfast as the restaurant didn’t look very appealing so we opted to eat out. I would stay here again if staying in Paris but it would be nice to see the standard of the communal areas updated to match the standard of the room.

The staff was very nice and helpful but this is not a 3 star hotel. From the down stairs appearance to the out dated elevator...it felt more like a 2 star or less. It was not the cleanest place. The trash from the previous person had not been thrown out and the bed sheet had a questionable spot (looked like old blood)on it. The room appearance was ok but I am glad we only had reserved one night there. It was not to 3 star standards. If you aren't picky with cleanliness and need a spot is convenient walk to and from the train station and food then this is the spot for you.

Located a few blocks from the Nord station, 5 minutes walk away. The hotel has been redone & looks very nice, my room was very good with lots of room & a bathtub. The breakfast was good also. No issues with anything, I would rebook.

Great for what we needed.
The hotel was really well located for us 5 mins from Gare du nord… Front desk was very knowledgeable and helpful… breakfast was good with a lot of choices, reasonably priced and good choices of brassieres and cafes on your doorstep.
