The communal areas are quite basic and look in need of some TLC. The room itself was mostly very nice. We stayed in a family room and it was clean, modern and spacious however there was a large crack in the wardrobe mirror which might not be the safest for small children. The bathroom was very small but again clean and had everything you would need/expect. We didn’t have breakfast as the restaurant didn’t look very appealing so we opted to eat out. I would stay here again if staying in Paris but it would be nice to see the standard of the communal areas updated to match the standard of the room.

The staff was very nice and helpful but this is not a 3 star hotel. From the down stairs appearance to the out dated elevator...it felt more like a 2 star or less. It was not the cleanest place. The trash from the previous person had not been thrown out and the bed sheet had a questionable spot (looked like old blood)on it. The room appearance was ok but I am glad we only had reserved one night there. It was not to 3 star standards. If you aren't picky with cleanliness and need a spot is convenient walk to and from the train station and food then this is the spot for you.

Updated hotel near Nord station
Located a few blocks from the Nord station, 5 minutes walk away. The hotel has been redone & looks very nice, my room was very good with lots of room & a bathtub. The breakfast was good also. No issues with anything, I would rebook.

Loved this hotel. Close to train station and restaurant's. We will able to walk to most tourist attractions. Staff was super friendly and helpful with any questions we had. Would stay again when I come back to Paris.

Great for what we needed.
The hotel was really well located for us 5 mins from Gare du nord… Front desk was very knowledgeable and helpful… breakfast was good with a lot of choices, reasonably priced and good choices of brassieres and cafes on your doorstep.

Staying at the Avalon hotel.
I would highly recommend staying at the Avalon Hotel. Customer service was excellent, my room was clean and aesthetically pleasing with a great view from the balcony. Close to shops, cafes/restaurants and transport. Breakfast was provided for a small fee. Renovations and upgrades were happening during our stay, and I'm sure it's going to look great once it's all completed.

Het hotel scoort al prima, maar er is nog onderhoud bezig dus er gaan nog zaken verbeterd worden. Ik had de pech dat net tijdens mijn verblijf er even geen warm water was, maar verder zag alles er keurig uit.

Vi bodde i ett familjerum med två små barn. Deras sängar var bakom en liten vägg, men fortfarande i samma rum. Vi kunde ha lite lampor tända efter att dom somnat. Rummet låg mot husets baksida och inte den stora gatan. Vi hörde inga ljud från staden. Däremot är dörren ut mot korridoren helt oisolerad med stora springor. Så om någon pratade utanför dörren lät det som att dom var i vårt rum. Badrummet var mycket trångt. Det gick inte att gå förbi om någon står vid handfatet. För en barnfamilj är det praktiskt med frukost på hotellet, men alla andra borde ta sig ut och upptäcka Paris frukostställen. På hotellet serverades bröd med pålägg, yoghurt och kokt ägg. Dyrt för vad man fick. I alla interaktioner var personalen trevlig, professionell och pratade bra engelska.
