The lobby smelled of burnt food the whole stay and someone came to my door 3 times even though I purchased late check out the day before. First time I literally opened the door to an unknown man at my door since the doors have no peep hole. 2nd time someone tried to unlock it put I had the latch on so they couldn’t open it. And third time I just let them keep knocking. there’s plenty of other budget hotels that are probably nicer and bigger.

Citizen M Gare de Lyon is located right by the train station which makes it easy to get around Paris. Also, it is located close to many restaurants (a Starbucks for the Americans) and pastry shops with reasonable prices. The room itself is operated with an iPad which is VERY easy to navigate. The breakfast looked delicious and had several options, but I’m more of a coffee and pastry person. Anyway, the 18.00 price will be less expensive and more filling than the restaurant options around the hotel if you are looking for a full breakfast. So I would recommend it. The hotel really is a good value.

Our room was not cleaned for 2 days despite repeated requests. The layout of the room required one person to climb across the other to get in and out of bed. To look out if the small window you needed to climb across the bed.

There is construction going right in the front of the hotel. Check in/out was on my own, no greeting nothing unless I asked for help. Room was very small and cold. You can not adjust the temperature.

Really modern feel to the place. Rooms are a bit small but for the size they are really well utilized for the space provided. Also the bed was extremely comfortable, had the best sleep and it was much needed. I would totally stay here again
