The front desk was very friendly & helpful. The room appeared clean, but upon closer look the curtains were quite filthy and when I picked up something that Thad dropped on the floor I could see splattered coffee all over the wall under the desk.

We booked a “superior” room. On arrival the staff were very friendly. We went on up to our room and to our dismay the room did not match the description posted on Wotif, it was very rundown. The widow in our room out looked an outside area (if you can call it that) which was accessible to anyone, and the large window (double doors) were not able to lock from inside our room. The bathroom was in dire need of repair, the hand basin wouldn't drain. The support and wall underneath the bath tub were no longer secure and falling away, which made the tub move when you had a shower. When showering the water leaked into the bathroom and there was no heat control. The hair dryer was held together with sticky tape. There was a questionable substance that had dried on the phone cord (looked like vomit). We could keep going, we have photos. My husband is in construction and has demolished and rebuilt over 500 hotel rooms and this is by far the worst.

This little hotel is quaint and perfectly located for exploring Paris by foot and Metro. Friendly staff. It's a little funky--world's smallest elevator, some lights didnt work-- but a deal for the price and perfect for us. Lot's of restaurant options, Chez Denise down block is wonderful but requires reservations.

Hotel with vintage Parisian vibe is in a very central, safe and fun location. Staff was wonderful. They were patient, helpful and so caring. They really went out of their way to help us find our way around Paris. And the hotel breakfasts were a treat. Lots of healthy, delicious choices. Well worth the money.

The pictures on the website do not Match the hotel experience. The elevator was not consistently functioning. We had to use the stairs. There’s mold in the bathroom on the shower area and the walls look like they’ve had water damage. The red carpet was not clean and the bed had urine stains on the mattress and extremely uncomfortable the mini fridge also smelled, like rotten food. The area is not a safe area to be in late at night. I would never stay there again.

The location is excellent and that’s the key factor to book Tonic. But, the Wi-Fi connection was incredibly unstable, making it difficult to get any work done. Additionally, the bed linens had a few small holes, which made the room feel less well-maintained.

The elevator was so tiny that only 1 person can go in at a time if they have a carry on. If you’re claustrophobic then definitely avoid. The rooms were small but the bed was a decent size so there’s very little room around it to walk. The bed and pillows were not comfortable. Bathrooms are also very small (water pressure in the shower was awful) and the whole property is pretty old and not really maintained. However, fantastic location and close to restaurants and the metro. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. They gave a complimentary drink option at the bar which was nice.
