Raddon by AvantStay | Restored Classic Victorian Home w/ Hot Tub

Welcome to Raddon House, a one-of-a-kind retreat in the heart of Park City's Old Town. As the only remaining Victorian-style home in the neighborhood, this historic gem offers a truly unique experience that sets it apart from the sea of modern homes. Built by Sam Raddon in the wake of the great fire of 1898, the home carries over a century of history and charm, making it a destination for those who value character and storytelling in their stays. Sam Raddon, a prominent figure in Park City's history, was the editor and publisher of The Park Record for an astounding 63 years. Guests are encouraged to take a short stroll to the historical marker at 424 Main Street, where his original newspaper office once stood, and enjoy a meal at Cafe Terigo, located on the very site of the 1898 fire.

Inside Raddon House, you'll find an inviting interior that blends the warmth of its historic roots with modern comforts. Two spacious balconies provide treetop views perfect for sipping morning coffee or watching the snowfall. Exposed wood beams and delightful decor fill the home with charm, while large windows flood the space with natural light and frame stunning views of Park City's winter wonderland.

After a day of hitting the slopes or exploring Main Street's vibrant shops and restaurants, return to your home-away-from-home to unwind. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing hearty meals or après-ski snacks, and the cozy living room invites you to relax by the fireplace with a glass of wine. For ultimate rejuvenation, step into the private hot tub for a soak under the stars.

Raddon House is cherished for its authenticity and historic appeal, making it a favorite for guests seeking something more soulful than another cookie-cutter modern home. Its Victorian charm, rich history, and unbeatable location just steps from Main Street and the slopes make it a rare and remarkable choice for your Park City getaway.

Come and experience Raddon House—the perfect retreat where history, comfort, and adventure converge.

Great location
This house was perfectly located for a two minute walk to downtown park city. The driveway was large enough for a single vehicle, and just barely fit our Ford transit. The house is quite old, and some of the doors are not in the best shape. The rooms are nice and spread out and there was a lot of space for our family. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Work/ski trip
Last minute book after Vrbo literally dumped us with no explanation or recourse for a property we booked almost a year in advance. Luckily this pace was still available and the location was amazing for all activities. Plenty of room. Dated but was a good stay for us

Quirky but great!
The house was quirky but it was built in 1901. Well kept, hot tub was great, close to Main Street with restaurants and stores and easy to find. Management was very responsive to any of our needs.

Wonderful Historic Home
The house was a relaxing and comfortable mainstay for my family. The location was perfect for exploring Park City, very walkable to all shops and restaurants. It provided lots of amenities for cooking, gathering and playing games. Every room had plenty of privacy which was one of the most important things I was looking for when booking. It was exactly what we were looking for while here for an amazing family wedding weekend!

Weekend stay
My friends and I enjoyed our stay at this house. It even came with a coffee pot and coffee bean grinder. We enjoyed the hot tub and used the large TV to watch a movie together. The house is older and has a lot of character. Since it is older we had to manage with the nuances of minor issues: one stubborn window shades, the rollling doors of a bedroom. The dish washer did not work properly. But all the guests loved the house.

Perfect location but Missing a few key items
We arrived a little early and were granted an early check in - unfortunately when we arrived to the home, the front door was stuck and we were unable to access the home. It took 3 calls to the management company and someone finally arrived an hour later to get the door open. Although the maintenance guy was helpful and said he fixed it, the door was again stuck the following morning and we were essentially locked in the home. A fire hazard to say the least. Thankfully there was a back door that we were able to get out and make it to our appointments on time. But, we had to leave the door unlocked - again putting our belongings at risk, and contact the mgmt company again. They were very condescending, insinuating it was our fault or inability to operate the lock, but did send out another maintenance person to fix the door. This was finally accomplished but they did not follow up with us until prodded. House is old but well kept. Charming. Missing things like Saran Wrap, foil, ziploc bags etc. fireplace didn’t work. Spa was lovely. We were offered no compensation or reimbursement for the inconveniences. It’s too bad.

Park City Best
We have stayed in a number of VRBOs in Park City and this is our favorite! The renters stayed in touch and responded immediately when we had a question. It was half a block from Main Street and scores of great restaurants.

Great location!
This is a great old-style victorian home with some upgrades. We all had our own private sleeping area, we enjoyed the hot tub, open living area and front balcony. One wish is the master bedroom on first floor could use a new mattress and some floor leveling due to shifting. Otherwise, it was well equipped with all we needed.

Great Park City Weekend
This was such a great rental. The location was amazing, just a street behind Main Street. The house was so clean and such a cute historical home. The beds were comfortable. The property management company kept in constant contact in case we needed anything, they even left a cute little Park City welcome pack. I would Definitely stay here again.

Holiday family ski trip
This was a PEFECT property and location for our family Park City ski trip. The house was charming, and full of history (check out the plaque about Raddon and his publishing work in Park City on the plaque on Main Street as well). The living and dining spaces were perfect for our party of 9, and the kitchen was exceptionally clean, functional and well-stocked for cooking some great family dinners. The hot tub was FANTASTIC for relaxing our sore muscles after days of skiing. And the property was an easy walk down to the main Park City area. Shea, the property manager, was also very helpful and friendly, and even made a quick stop over when we ran into problems getting the gas fireplace going (which was totally our fault). I would definitely come back to this property.
