Great Stay in a Great Parkdale Cabin
My friends and I stayed here for a Hood River mountain bike trip and had a blast. The cabin is great, lots comfortable beds and the kitchen and family room are great for shared meals and games! Close enough to Hood River for easy trips into town! Can't wait to go back!

Wonderful getaway!
This is a perfect locale to get away and relax in the woods! Hood River is an easy 15 minute drive, and Mt. Hood is really close as well. It's a hiker's dream - so many hikes in the Columbia River Gorge and near Mt. Hood. The place is gorgeous, very clean, and very well stoked. We had 2 families (7 in all), and there was plenty of room for us all to relax. We all want to come back!

Relaxing Getaway
The property's closeness to nature, nestled in the forest, gives it a charming lodge-like feel. We were immediately captivated by the pine scent inside the house upon arrival. The well-equipped kitchen and bathrooms added to our comfort. Its location, close to winter sports, hiking trails, and shopping, made it an ideal spot for our family getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already making plans to return. A great tip for future guests: be sure to visit Solera Brew Pub nearby with breathtaking views of Mt Hood from their outdoor seating area.

Winter Wonderland
Very spacious and open high ceiling, high/large windows, spacious kitchen and large dining table, warm gas fire - felt very chalet/cabin like experience. We were fortunate to have it snow during our whole stay so everyday was a wonderland, and the house sits at the end of a residential road and top of the hill. It gave us the feeling of being by ouselves, on top of a snowy mountain, at some resort cabin. Pool table we loved and played much. Communication with host was excellent-quick to respond and accomadating/helpfu. Liked so much we booked an extra day and the host was so helpful. We all had a great time in snow and skiing at hood, and the stay was so great we will book again.

We very much enjoyed our stay. It would be helpful if the heat had been kept at a reasonable setting instead of off completely as this is a large house and took many hours to heat when the outside temp was near 30 degrees.

Cozy, Private Lodge in Serene setting
A group of 7 friends shared a most delightful time at the Svendsen Lodge. It was perfect accommodations for our restful, private "girl time". Serene, wooded setting provided the peaceful get away along with the well-appointed kitchen, gathering rooms and large dining table for games and meals. Close to Hood River, the Fruit Loop and wineries, but tucked away on a dead-end forested road for peace and tranquility. Pure Delight!

Amazingly Spacious and a Life Saver!
While my friends and I were in route to celebrate our best friends getting married on Mt. Hood, our original VRBO cancelled on us. This property was a life savor! It was the perfect location for us to stay for all the wedding celebrations and for the bridesmaids to get ready at!
