Sitting a few feet from Maple Lake, this former military hut has been transformed into a cozy, quirky, peaceful home, with breathtaking views of the lake and wildlife. Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck entertained by visiting Geese, Swans, Ducks and Blue Herons. In summer there is fishing, swimming, kayaking and in winter ice skating, skiing, tubing, ice-fishing and snowmobiling. A cozy lakeside getaway
This rental was very clean and well taken care of. A beautiful spot right on Maple lake with a small dock, gazebo, and kayaks. It was very quiet with the surrounding homes and other rental next door. The property owners were responsive and very easy to work with. We would definitely stay again. This is a good spot for a couples retreat, or even just someone looking to just relax for a few days. It's conveniently only about 1 mile from downtown Paw Paw, which offers up plenty of good dining options, wineries, breweries, and live music venues in the summer months.

Our Venture
The property was so cute and clean. We enjoyed our stay and think we could come back without hesitation. The property sets just steps from the lake and the lake is beautiful. The area is very quiet and peaceful. The owners are friendly but respect your privacy. There is lots to do just a drive away but then you get to come back to the very peaceful property. We both would give this property a high rating and would have no issues recommending it.

Adorable 😍
The property was beautiful with a wonderful view of the lake! The house was beautiful and the perfect size for a couple. The hosts had plenty of supplies in the bathroom in case you forget anything. We enjoyed having a full kitchen, and if we wanted to eat out, we were very close town as well. We’re hoping to come back soon!

Cozy Getaway
This is our second stay at this cottage and we will keep coming back! Both times have been in the colder months and we love being able to relax and watch TV and have a amazing view at the same time. The ducks, geese, and swans are entertaining to watch. The blankets to snuggle up with on the couch are a nice touch. One of these days we will come in the summer and take advantage of the fire pit and spend some time outside. We love your place!

Lovely place to stay! The hosts were welcoming and helpful. I had thought the location would be more remote, but that was an incorrect assumption on my part. Even though it’s pretty close to other houses and a busy road, my stay was still quiet and peaceful.

I had the pleasure spending two nights with my favorite person in the world at the Cozy Quonset Hut. It was the perfect setting providing a peaceful and Serene get away experience. This quiet, quirky property has a lot going for it. Location, location, location -- right on edge of a lake. First sounds in the morning -- birds singing, a duck quacking, a Canada goose honking; what fun! Very clean -- even the chairs on the back deck had been cleaned.

Relaxing stay on Maple Lake
Rental was exactly as advertised. All the comforts of home, away from home! We enjoyed our relaxing getaway sitting on the deck, watching all the waterfowl and exploring Paw Paw and a little of Southwest Michigan. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area!

PawPaw’ s Hut on Maple Lake
Great experience, peaceful, relaxing site. View of lake is just the best. Well equipped, thoughtful amenities. Think anything that you could possibly need or want was provided. Donna was an excellent host , responsive and caring. Enjoyed watching swan and duck families.

Cutest little spot
I was drawn to the listing by the unusual cottage and it did not disappoint. The host thought of every little detail and the place is impeccably done. It was very hot the weekend we stayed but the back deck was shaded and the breeze from the lake made it a lovely place to lounge.

Exceptionally relaxing
Words cannot adequately describe what an idyllic location for rest and relaxation Quonset Hit is. Sitting by the lake reading or observing ducks, geese, swans, etc., was incredible. Additionally, Dona and David have provided a cozy, super clean environment for cooking, playing games, resting, and more. Quonset Hut is so comfortable and everything you could possibly need is provided from beach towels to kayaks to games and an extremely comfortable bed. We enjoyed meeting and talking to Dona, too! Pictures don’t do justice to how cute and well thought out the amenities are.
