Set beside the infamous prom in Penzance, Mount View offers superb sea views and the perfect location.
From here you could be leaping into the Jubilee Pool within seconds, walking the promenade watching sunrise over the bay and St Michael's Mount, wander into the heart of Penzance in just a few minutes via the quirky shops of Chapel Street.
Three bedrooms, a front patio and glorious far reaching sea views from the cosy living area. Perfect for a romantic escape or family trip to Cornwall.
Mount View is set on South Parade in Penzance, you'll be really close to the sea, Jubilee Pool, and the town centre is a short walk away. Watch the fishing boats leave Newlyn, the sun rise over St Michael's Mount or the early morning swimmers heading to Jubilee Pool and battery rocks.
As you head into Mount View you'll find a double bedroom at the front with sea views, a twin room and the utility area (accessed via the twin room). The family bathroom is located down here and features a bath with overhead shower.
Upstairs on the first floor is the living area with TV, electric fire and completely unobstructed sea views. Along with comfortable seating this is an easy place to while away the time between exploring the beautiful West Cornwall area.
The dining area is set off the living area by a glass panel, the kitchen to the rear with all the equipment you need to cook in if Penzance's great selection of restaurants doesn't take your fancy.
The final double bedroom is also located on the first floor with built in storage.
All of the property.
We're a small company based in the area and with a passion for West Cornwall. We're here to help if you need us and we'll be able to help with any queries. We're not based onsite but do live nearby, all you have to do is holla if you need us!
Penzance is a special place in West Cornwall. With deep routes in maritime, smuggling, fishing and the mining of the local area, you'll find a rustic charm.
At the end of the mainline it's the destiny for many, from artists to chefs and everyone in between. As a result there is an ecletic mix of wonderful restaurants, coffee shops, galleries and antique shops along with the usual features of the high streets.
We think a must visit is the Jubilee Pool, a mere 30 second walk away. One of the best outdoor lido's in the UK and with super exciting (and warming!) plans for a geothermal pool to open in 2020. If that isn't enough the cafe is excellent to and just whiling a way a day on the edge of the pool in the sunshine with the smell of sea air.
Access to the the Isles of Scilly is also easy from here, with regular ferries from Penzance, plane from Land's End or helicopter coming in 2020 from Penzance.
Places well worth a trip (public transport will get you to these to) are Porthcurno, Land's End, Sennen and St Ives.
Penzance is well served by public transport as it sits at the end of the mainline train. This will head to London, Bristol, Manchester and more...
The local bus services are good and you'll find a regular bus heading to Newlyn and Penzance bus station. The open top bus that has a circular route around West Cornwall in summer is brilliant, our family loved it despite having been to all of the places before.
If travelling by car then you'll find Penzance's streets are better than those like St Ives and Mousehole which can be notoriously narrow. It's the most common way of travelling around here though and will get you to some great places.
Parking is on street either outside or nearby. Alternatively there are public car parks about a 5 minute walk away.
In winter the sea can whip up quite the storm and this is a truly amazing place to watch. If you book in winter and we have a large swell forecast then we may need to put up a flood gate to access the front patio from the pavement. We would work with you to reduce this impact as much as possible.
