Historic Petaluma
The room was small but clean with a nice view and comfortable bed. Staff were helpful and friendly, building is historic and lovely in downtown Petaluma, so convenient. The coffee set up with the $3.00 bottle of water charge seemed to be what greeted me as I entered the room which I did not appreciate. Ice needs to be asked for at the reception desk. They do offer complimentary coffee in the lobby next to a warm and inviting big fireplace.

While the room looked as it appears in the photos, my main issue with my stay was the noise. My room was facing the courtyard and also right next to the elevator. Anytime someone used the lift there was a loud ding (likely to indicate the arrival of the lift) that could be loudly heard in my room all night. In addition, the outside street noise reverberated in the room. I barely got any sleep even with the earplugs provided by the hotel (they were placed in the room — probably because they know how loud it gets). Being a Platinum Expedia member, I didn’t appreciate being given such a noisy room. The room price didn’t reflect the poor quality provided. Really disappointed by this so called Hilton hotel.

Very nice location in Petaluma finding the hotel was a little difficult. It does not have a big sign that says it’s the hotel. Parking is an issue, but I was lucky enough to find a spot. The room was a little small and the queen bed felt more like a full sized bed. I did book another night this coming January only because it is so convenient to walk to the Mystic theater for the show. But other than the room being small, it was a nice place.

A rustic yet clean and cozy old building in the heart of downtown Petaluma. The pros are easy walk to restaurants and shopping, clean rooms, friendly staff, Cons: limited street parking, parking garage is half a block away, strong odor from the adjacent seafood restaurant, dim bathroom and room lighting, complicated room thermostat. Overall, a very nice hotel. Highly recommend.
