This is an older property, but it is well maintained. The staff is very accommodating and courteous. The hotel is very clean, all areas of it. The rooms are large, roomy, and clean, especially the bathrooms. One of the most important comments we can make about this property is that it is very close, and we mean close, to all major museums and attractions, walking distance. My wife and I travel to Brazil at least twice per year, and we decided that in our March trip, we will come back to Petropolis, and without a doubt we will be staying again in this hotel.

The hotel was great, the staff was really nice and welcoming and the room was tidy and spacious. The only point of improvement are the curtains, part of it got loose from it’s support on the roof, so we couldn’t pull it completely.

Atendimento cortes, porém extremamente demorado. 1 atendente e 15 minutos para fazer um simples ficha (que já tinha os dados da reserva), mas mesmo assim perguntavam tudo de novo! Esperei mais de meia hora para ser atendido e poder fazer o check-in. Quarto espaçoso mas com roupas de cama velhas. Café da manhã fraco, com observação que me chamou atenção, TODOS os copos do restaurante estavam MAL LAVADOS (sujos), não tive coragem de tomar nada ali!!

Perdemos um dos dias passando mal no quarto com vômito e dores abdominais após o café da manhã. Sequer fizemos outra refeição naquele dia. Naturalmente que faltou higiene no preparo ou conservação em algum ítem do cardápio, o que para um valor de cerca de 500 reais parece impensável, mas ocorre. De cliente a nunca mais.

A equipe do hotel é extremamente esforçada e simpática, mas muito aquém do necessário para um hotel de 12 andares - por exemplo, tinha a impressão de que uma única camareira era responsável por 15 quartos em 3 andares totalmente sozinha. Nota-se o constrangimento da bem intencionada equipe por não conseguir resolver os problemas. Infelizmente aparenta ser o caso em que a gestão do hotel visa economizar em coisas importantes e não faz os investimentos necessários em equipe para garantir uma operação fluida. Esse déficit de mão de obra gera situações desagradáveis, como a não troca de roupa de cama, alguma demora para solução de coisas simples e alguma desorganização para que a enxuta equipe consiga atender às demandas de todos os hóspedes. Em julho de 2023 o elevador principal estava com defeito e toda a movimentação se dava através de um estreitíssimo e lento elevador de serviço, que comporta duas pessoas e tem a profundidade pouco maior que um braço adulto. Não havia previsão de solução desta questão durante a estadia. Também me incomodou o fato do blecaute da janela permitir completamente a entrada de luz solar - se quisesse dormir até mais tarde seria obrigado a despertar conforme o nascer do sol. A localização é boa, o café da manhã é bom e o preço foi muito maior do que deveria ter sido. No geral, infelizmente cogitei abandonar uma reserva sem reembolso para solicitar uma nova hospedagem noutro hotel na mesma rua.
