So I encountered one significant problem. I could not shut off the TV that was on when I entered the room. I went to the desk clicker in hand. The very kind people at the desk told me they could not try new batteries in the clicker and said they would send a technician to the room. I waited for twenty minutes, and after being driver crazy by the constant music, I took my work down to the lobby and told the nice people at the desk that I would wait in the lobby. I returned to the desk after a bit more than an hour to ask how it was going. They immediately tried to call whomever and told me that they thought the technician might come soon. It was now 10:00p.m. I am 77 years old. I had a five hour ride from NY, which usually takes just over two. I was really unhappy being out of my room past my bedtime. After waiting at the desk, they suggested I return to my room. The technician was just leaving when I arrived. In the process of his leaving, a supervisor called offering me Bonvoy points to conpensate for my inconvenience. I explained that I had no idea what Bonvoy points were and that I was in need of sleep. She explained to me that she would not be there in the morning. I hung up. I should have said It's about me and not you, but I was tired and I didn't want to soil her good intentions. Everyone was very apologetic; they just had no idea. By the way, I would stay at the property again despite it all.
