Lobby area was great though getting to the lobby from the parking lot was tedious. Very far and dragging your luggage for everyone in the lobby and casino to see. They should have made the parking lot closer to the lobby entrance though there is a 15 minute parking just outside but only 4-5 spots.

I recently stayed at the Pickering Casino Hotel and, unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. Upon arrival, I noticed the room was not fully stocked—there were not enough towels for two guests, and items such as tissue, a shower cap, and Q-tips were missing. The bathroom felt incomplete, as if it had been overlooked during preparation. At checkout, I was advised that the $311 deposit on my debit card would not be refunded for one week. This was not mentioned at check-in, nor was it explained that $11 of the amount was a non-refundable fee. When I asked about this, I was told the information was available on the hotel’s website. Since I booked through Expedia, I was not aware of these details. In order to have the deposit returned the same day, I needed to wait for housekeeping to check the room, which unfortunately caused me to be late for work. While I appreciate the property and its potential, clearer communication at check-in and better room preparation would have made for a much smoother and more positive first stay.
