The unique location on the borders of counties Waterford and Kilkenny makes these spacious yet cosy, beautifully refurbished lodges, perfect for those seeking peace and tranquillity, with nature on the doorstep and walks from the door. Yet the historic cities of Waterford and Kilkenny are within easy driving distance as are the beautiful, historic pretty villages of the region.
The Coach House is a large 4 bedroom property, with spacious living room and open fire and gracious dining room. The kitchen is modern, with an Aga. There are 3 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom are very spacious with ensuite bathrooms, and wonderful views over the grounds.
Belline House dates from around 1770 and the grounds contain some interesting architectural follies. The house is flanked by twin detached circular pavilions with conical roofs – once used as pigeon houses.
Belline Estate is a short walk from Piltown village and pub; Carrick -on -Suir is 6km away and Waterford city and airport 21km. Access to the M9 Waterford-Dublin motorway is a 10-minute drive from the house.
There is 40 acres of mature woodland, perfect for walks without ever leaving the estate. The owners’ have a donkey sanctuary on the grounds, with no less than 20 donkeys in residence!
And if you would like to enjoy a ride-out on the land, you can bring your own horse on holiday, with livery available for an extra charge. For horse racing enthusiasts Gowran Park Race Course is just a 10 minute drive away.
Piltown is close to the five counties of Carlow, Kilkenny, Tipperary, Waterford and Wexford, set in an evocative patchwork of fertile valleys and plains. There are countless castles, abbeys, fortresses and ancient settlements marking the Celtic, Norman and Anglo Saxon times. The five river systems – the Barrow, Blackwater, Nore, Slaney and Suir - criss-cross the South East meandering under old stone bridges, around magical mountains, through picturesque villages and past neatly thatched cottages before finally entering the sea at scenic, peaceful seaside towns. From your holiday property, you can visit historic monuments, colourful gardens; well-maintained and sign-posted walking and cycling paths; abundant fishing locations; numerous golf courses, equestrian centres and exciting festivals.
Historic cities of Waterford and Kilkenny are within easy driving distance as are the beautiful, pretty villages of the region.
