I paid for the room through Expedia for last night and all previous nights.. I have stayed many nights in the last 2 to 3 weeks at the same Holiday Inn Express, booking through Expedia. Last night they changed me the regular $25 for an incidental hold on my personal card, plus 2 separate $100 fees. They told me when I called that that charged me the extra fees for incidentals because I lived within 50 miles of the hotel. I moved more than 50 miles from the area before June 30, 2024 and have only stayed at the hotel since the move.. And have never been charged more than a $25 hold fee for incidentals. And have yet, to be reimbursed for any incidentals. Iā€™m booking tonight and all future trips at a different local hotel.

This is a very convenient, quiet hotel. Courteous front desk staff. Everything was excellent. Hot breakfast option (some of the breakfast items were out and didnā€™t get replaced while we were there. So perhaps faster service in the dining area would be the opportunity for this hotel to work on).
