Welcome to Camp Stardust, a unique waterfront slice of heaven! This cabin is all windows, so views are stunning, even at night.

Explore lakes, hikes, waterfalls, and the great kayaking from our private boathouse.

Before reserving, PLEASE NOTE:
- 1 adult dog welcome (no puppies or cats), with pet fee
- not the place for entertaining. Only guests on the lease to be on property
- no cell service here (great wifi and landline)

HOUSE has:
- two bedrooms, one queen, one double bed
- easy to use indoor gas fireplace
- binoculars and spotting scope for wildlife viewing and star gazing
- awesome Sonos stereo with indoor and outdoor speakers
- full bath with large soaking tub with shower
- TV room with Netflix, DVD's, books, games (no cable)
- considerately stocked full kitchen (just bring food)

OUTSIDE has:
- 3 acres of privacy surrounded by water and woods
- firepit (seasonal use) with outdoor lighting
- outdoor shower (seasonal)

- private boathouse with 4 kayaks, 1 canoe and life vests

SPRING and SUMMER
This is a kayak haven! Watercraft available May 15-Oct 30.
Our waterfront is too shallow to swim, so we paddle to the lake and enjoy the sandy bottom of Piseco Lake.

FALL
Need we say how stunningly beautiful it is here during foliage? It's magical.

OTHER THINGS to NOTE:
- we offer reduced rates for 2 persons. Additional fees for 3rd and 4th guests. One adult dog with pet fee.
- guests must agree to sign rental agreement and follow house/pet instructions
- there are exterior security cameras.
- there is a small bridge nearby, you can hear the cars going over it when outside which is the only thing we wish was different.
- please limit recycles! Like camping, if you bring it in you must agree to take it out. We do have garbage pickup.

This is a great home for self reliant, independent travelers looking for a very comfortable, romantic, private accommodation in a unique and special spot. Piseco Lake and the surrounding area are beautiful, but have limited entertainment venues other than nature hikes, mountains, wildlife, lakes and rivers.

Amazing view and extraordinary,cozy cabin.
My husband and I had been to Camp Stardust three years ago. We loved our first visit and have wanted to someday return. We were finally able to return this past weekend. We brought another couple with us. The foliage was beautiful and the quiet, cozy cabin was a perfect place to rest and enjoy the company of our friends. The cabin is equipped with everything needed to enjoy even the cold and partly rainy days. The cabin is super clean and the owners attention to detail is evident throughout the cabin and property. We appreciate their care in every aspect of the cabin and property. We look forward to another stay.

A Perfect Vacation
The cabin was like a slice of home. I grew up in a cabin by a lake in the Adirondacks and this home had it all. From a stunning night sky, to the quiet lakefront, to the serenity of being out in the woods. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed to make our vacation special. It's close to great hiking, amenities like groceries and dining, and serves as a great jumping off point on longer excursions. We enjoyed the kayaks immensely and used them often. The only caveat would be the close proximity to the highway bridge but that was made clear to us from the start and was only really active during the day. You couldn't hear it inside the house. We will definitely return some day!

Perfect
This home is perfect. Aside from some slight road noise during the day, we couldn't find anything wrong with this property. It is expertly decorated, the views are spectacular, the privacy is almost absolute except for the occasional kayaker. Town of Speculator is only 15 mins down the road with plenty of lakes and hiking trails to explore. Maura is very responsive to any questions you might have. Yeah, the perfect get-away. If Maura will have us we will be back for many years to come.

Great cabin!
If you’re looking for a great cabin as a base to explore the southern Adirondacks, this place is ideal. Though not close to the bigger tourist spots, there is ample hiking, fishing, and lots and lots of water. When the weather was less than friendly in October the cabin was a very pleasant place to spend the day. The kitchen is well equipped and laid out, and the living areas are quite comfortable. We hope to return!

Beautiful house in a quiet, remote location but not too far away from civilization (if you need it). Numerous excellent hiking trails within about 20 minutes. But there was plenty to occupy us without leaving the property from great kayaking and fishing to campfires and stargazing.

Wonderful Property
This wonderful property was exactly as described. It met all of my expectations, which is a rarity. If you are looking for privacy, this is it! Extremely clean and well appointed. The view from the cabin is exquisite any time of day. The owners have thought of everything . I was left with a detailed document outlining house rules, which included a slew of information regarding every activity imaginable for each season, including markets, restaurants, and pubs. Like I said, the owners gave thought of everything. No research necessary. They have done it all. We will definitely be back!

Maura and David thought of everything to make their camp a perfect retreat! From the beautiful decor to twinkle lights! Everything outdoors ia also well kept and very clean. Star gazing at night was breathtaking… it was a trip to remember!

This was a great stay. Property is on the outlet for Piseco Lake and we essentially had it to ourselves. Although there was some noise from Route 8, it was worth it not having any other cottages near us and the outlet. The Cottage itself was very nice and the owners didn't skimp

Beautiful & Peaceful Place!
This cottage is truly a little slice of heaven. We could not have asked for a more perfect getaway. Waking up to the view of the lake every morning was a true gift. Loved the lights, the sound system, the fire, and a little Christmas tree which added a special touch. There are many details to appreciate within the cottage. Beautiful inside and out. If you need to exhale, this is the place.

We wanted to get out of our house and relax in a place all to our own near a river or lake. Camp Stardust was the perfect place. We enjoyed having meals and looking out at the river. Saw some wildlife. Went canoeing but the water was low so couldn’t access all points.

Scenic, secluded, delightful cabin on the water's edge.
This property is very well taken care of by the owners. The cabin is very clean, comfortable and very well equipped for a fun, relaxing stay. It is situated a bit set back from the water's edge, with plenty of room to enjoy. It is quiet, secluded and the view is just lovely. The cabin has gorgeous, big windows in the front allowing for an unhindered view of the lake. Great care has been made for comfortable outdoor space, with comfy chairs, a picnic table, fire-pit and hammock. We enjoyed our time there immensely and will certainly return.

Owners were very communicative and helpful. Cottage was quaint and comfortable. Car noises were a bit more pronounced than expected with the windows open but with the lake we didn’t care! Lake was peaceful. Only complaint was the cleanliness of the pans/dishes. We had to wash everything before use. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect Getaway
Absolutely Perfect mother and daughter getaway. We loved the cabin, the cleanliness and especially the decor. Very comfortable and homey. Perfect Getaway
The secluded location and absolute beauty of the surroundings made this a perfect romantic getaway. The cabin is absolutely gorgeous, just a wonderful, picture-perfect space to unwind and unplug. We spent hours curled up by the fire, watching nature. The hosts were incredibly responsive, and kind enough to send along a list of nearby skiing and other attractions, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Would love to return in the summer or fall to enjoy the outdoor fire and kayak in the water.

Paradise on Piseco Lake
This is a beautiful slice of paradise on Lake Piseco. We thoroughly enjoyed our escape to Camp Stardust, which is located on the edge of the lake in a wonderfully secluded outlet. This is a great place to unwind and having the on-site availability of kayaks, to further explore the lake, was an added bonus. The cabin location is also very convenient for exploring other nearby lakes and hiking trails. Maura is a fantastic host and we will definitely be returning to Camp Stardust in the future.
