Overall the Wolf Pack Cabin, one of three cabins in the complex was a nice place. It sits ~two miles from the little township of Pittsburgh where one can go to Alps for grocery needs and more, as well as a gas station. . It is a gravel parking lot with the three rustic natural wood cabins sitting about 20-30 feet from each other. Each cabin has a fire spot with either logs or outdoor chairs around it. Firewood may be available as described out by the dumpster as you come in, but they also sell bundles of firewood at Alps. There really isn't a view if that's a concern-- our back neighbor was a big rental storage facility and the woods. The inside was very clean. Decorated in a kind of primarily fishing oriented wildlife decor theme, with natural unpainted pine and rustic trim, the front room has a very comfortable three person and two person couch. On the right side of the cabin as you come in the front door are two bedrooms. The first is the master bedroom with an incredibly comfortable mattress. It feels like a super king size. The only complaints on this bedroom would be the need for more outlets--there is a lamp on the bedside but no outlet. The main outlet is beside the door, so I would advise bringing an extension cord for things like mobile phones etc. The kitchen had a fridge, dishwasher, stove, microwave and basic condiments. Coffee grounds and filter with a coffee maker and some cooking utensils. The biggest downside for us though was the hot tub. We had switched locations specifically to have a hot tub to relax too after boating on the beautiful Pomme de Terre lake. The problem was that the hot tub was unbelievably hot when we got there and the circuit board must have been not working because the +/- buttons would not work. While the temperature read 104 degrees, it felt like it was many degrees above that and incredibly painful for more than a couple of seconds-- and I like hot hot tubs. The owners apparently were waiting on a hot tub tech to assess the situation, but we felt a bit cheated if only because it was advertised and we had looked forward to it as part of the vacation experience. I'm sure this will be fixed in the future and will be nice amenity for future stays. Keep in mind there is no wifi. AT&T, TMobile data networks did not work inside the cabin, and a Verizon mobile mifi had to be placed out in the car for signal strength to enable wifi. Overall it was a nice, very clean place that I would recommend.
