What a nightmare. The hallways smell like nothing but weed. The check in was poor. I picked to pay at hotel. The general manager’s brother was working and it was his first day. He knew nothing!! He did not give me WiFi information, he said they did not have any complementary toiletries and he double charged my credit card!!!! The next morning, I tried to get it cleared up. I asked to pay with a different card at check out. They ended up charging both of my cards!!! Then they refunded the wrong card!, 5 days later!!! I called and spoke with the general manager, Farhand. I asked to be refunded on the card that was not authorized, he said he would have to talk to his staff Champale and call me back Thursday. No call. No credit. These problems were definitely not worth the stay at this place.

I booked a room with two beds and they gave me one with one bed, which I had to accept because they told me they couldn't do anything. When they checked the house, the sheets were dirty and they hadn't changed the sheets. It was unpleasant. They changed the sheets because they couldn't give him another room because there weren't any more. My children and I couldn't sleep because I don't know what insect the bed had, but they bit us all night. A horrible experience.

Staff was friendly but the lobby reeked of cigarette. Once to our room our room smelled like weed and the one bed was visibly dirty. The whole place was grimy feeling and as a solo woman traveling with an infant I felt uneasy.

Everything was fine-clean, comfortable and friendly. The hallways are a bit shabby and the elevator made jarring noise. The room and the people were lovely. I had to ask for coffee and the tissue holder was empty. No big problem. A nice reasonable rate and a nice stay.

We only stayed overnight before starting our college visits early the next morning. But the property was clean and check-in was smooth. Our son slept on the sleep sofa and getting sheets and a blanket were easy enough to get. Breakfast the next morning was well stocked and the staff was very attentive to keep everything refilled. My only negative was the size of the bathroom. We had a king with sleep sofa and the bathroom was tiny. There was barely enough room to open the door without touching the tub! With the door closed the floor was about 3 foot square in front of the tub and toilet. Very claustrophobic!

The only positive aspect of our stay at Wingate was the receptionist, Daniella. She was courteous and attentive, which we appreciated. However, the room we were given was not up to standard. It felt a bit crowded, and the bathroom and shower were small, making it difficult to move around. The worst part was discovering that the bedsheet underneath the duvet was wrinkled and stained. I immediately requested new bedsheets and had to do my own bedding, which was the last thing I wanted to deal with after a long drive. Overall, this experience was disappointing, and I will not be returning to this establishment.

The cleanliness of the room could have been better. There were dead bugs in the bathroom. The baseboards haven’t been cleaned in years. The shower curtain was falling off the wall so the curtain couldn’t close because of the slope which meant water went all over the floor. The conditioner bottle on the wall was empty prior to our arrival, and there were hairs on the clean towels. They were missing a waffle maker for breakfast. The employees were friendly and accommodating but there was a lack of cleanliness that could be taken care of with a little more effort. The price should be adjusted cheaper for the lack of cleanliness.

Staff was very friendly and helpful when needed. Free breakfast was adequate but closer to continental breakfast. Rooms were ok but not great. The bed was comfortable but the rooms (we had 2) were not the cleanest. Our bed was stained (not sheets but bed protector) and there was something on the comforter. One room has lotion instead of body wash in shower, the other had empty bottles for shampoo and body wash. One room has previous guest’s shirt in a drawer and water stain on ceiling.
