Property and room is old, run down. Numerous outlets had no power. No USB outlets in the room anywhere, not even on the TV. Ceiling-mounted heating units could not keep up with outside temps. Filth on toilet base and inside bowl rim. Bathtub in room but no drain plug, so no ability to soak after a long travel day. Entire floor was sticky.

Difficult door.
The room itself was very clean and comfortable. However, the front door to get into the room was very difficult to open with the provided electronic key. This difficulty in even being able to get into the room was exacerbated by the rapidly dropping temperature at arrival. The door mechanism was so unreliable that when taking my belongings down to my car I had to block the door with a travel bag because I could not trust the door to allow me back in to retrieve the remainder of my belongings.

Red Roof Inn plus on Mosside Blvd. Monroeville Pa was a living nightmare for me. The lobby where you check in smells like cigarette smoke in the walls. Rooms were supposed to be smoke free but our room had walls that were yellowed by and smelled like smoke. The room door was filthy on the inside of the room. The shower had 3 different colors of hair in it. Towels and washcloths we badly stained. Blood and other bodily fluids on sheets and side of bed. Smashed dead bugs on the wall. Thick old cobwebs hanging over the bed. I checked out and went and stayed at the Hampton Inn and suites. Expedia was wonderful at taking care of my complaints, they called red roof inn and got some of my money back and gave me a credit with one-key for the difference. I will NEVER stay at or recommend that red roof inn plus to anyone ever!

This property was clean and exceptionally quiet, What you traded for "updated newer" you gained in quiet sound proof rooms. I haven't been in a hotel room that was this sound proof in a long time, I enjoyed it immensely! At first I honestly was a bit leery, but it was actually really great and I would definitely return. The quiet is so worth it.

Great basic hotelwith convenient location. Got an upgraded room with fridge and microwave. Enjoyed electric heating with 2 panels that keeped us warm at night in November.

It's a Basic Hotel Room
The room was decent, clean. The only issue was the hair dryer had an electrical short and when you turned it on, it began to smoke badly. We were afraid that it would set off the smoke detector in the room before we could unplug it. I reported it to the front desk, but they seemed indifferent about it. Also had to track down housekeeping to replenish the coffee service in the room. They didn't refill it after cleaning the room. They gave us the wrong kind of pods and we had to improves it to have morning coffee.
