Amazing remote, peaceful, riverfront cabin!
First, the negatives: * No air conditioner. The listing was accurate, but I didn't notice the missing A/C until a couple weeks before the trip. Wouldn't have been a problem except we stayed in the 105 degree heat wave of 2024. * There is not a bridge near the house: Its a 35 minutes to Plains, and an hour to Thompson Falls. * Kitchen is small and has no dishwasher. The positives: * No internet. Like other reviews, I see this as a positive. We could get limited cell (AT&T) from the porch and deck to check messages or make calls. * House was spotless. * Host was very responsive and helpful. * Covered patio that overlooks the river is amazing! * You can put kayaks (they provide) and tubes in a few miles up the road and float! * Great movie selection. They have all the greats! Think of it like a camping vacation--where you don't have to deal with the typical headaches of camping!

One of the most enjoyable Vrbo's that we have stayed !
This Vrbo cabin has all the amenities except one, and this missing "link" may have been the reason we had so much fun; "There is no Internet"! We discovered and experimented with things to do as a result of "no internet". Our extended family of six (2 parents, 2 grandparents, 2 little girls) went hiking and biking but the best thing was the cabin and its beach; "a beautiful gravel beach with a 4000' canyon-wall directly across the Clark-Fork River". The adults were impressed by the mile long trains that cruised up and down the north shore of the river. Our 5 year old "Izzy" cried when we had to leave this morning, but this grand-dad brightened her day when he offered her a return visit. We found two great hikes; first one is trail #1130 which starts at the parking gate near Eddy Peak lookout and goes 3 miles south stopping near an un-named peak at 7000'. The other nice trail is just 3 miles east of the cabin off "river-view road" and travels south "up a drainage" to Acorn Lake.

Enjoyable, remote, comfortable modern log home
This was a welcome retreat for my family of four. Clean, truly cozy, warm home. All modern amenities. The decks to view the river were a highlight. We loved the wood stove heat, though propane was an option. We could quickly contact host with a few questions. It is a solid 30 minute drive from Plains on country roads which was a beautiful drive. We would highly recommend it and we would definitely come back.
