We just returned from our stay at El Taj. Prior to our arrival the team were easily contactable via WhatsApp and very helpful. From the moment that we checked in, the staff were so accommodating and friendly. We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom penthouse condos, it was very well equipped (full kitchen, washer etc.). I really liked that they have a water cooler in the condo, and they also brought us ice. The condo has a rooftop terrace, with a big seating area, grill, hot tub and loungers. The complex has a very tropical feel, the pool areas are quite shaded and there is a small beach area with the great Ari restaurant. One of the best things we did was book a 9am massage on the beach, total heaven with the sound of the waves! Prior to our arrival I saw reviews complaining about the fishing boats in front of the beach, and there are boats there but it wasn’t an issue for us. We spent days at beach clubs, everything is very walkable from the location. In the first evening I was a little worried about the noise from the bars on 5th Ave, but we had no issues with noise at the condo. Highly recommend and would stay again!

El Taj Beachside Condo felt like home in paradise!
El Taj Staff was always displaying professionalism, at checkin we felt welcome, everyone we spoke always show care, we had a lost bag that was delivered to the lobby they always kept us informed and responded quickly to any of our questions, in regards to Milton's huracan that was near the area we felt safe at home, the condo was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. The views were amazing, everything was well thought of, the location was great, near all the busy restaurants, nightclubs, galleries, but yet quiet and relaxing family environment. We will highly recommend it! I assure you we will come back.

My family and I stayed at this place and it was great!! Very spacious and very convenient to walk over to different things ie food or a club or find events with Pedro right outside the door. We had a little hiccup but the staff and manager definitely worked hard on trying to handle that hiccup and went above and beyond. The only feedback for anyone staying here is remember it is a hotel so valuables go in the safe but other than that this place is perfect!! Space, price, convenience, the vive, the people, everything!! (My family and I stayed at Xcaret Arte and Hyatt Ziva so when I say I have others to compare to I definitely do but we all agreed we loved this hotel, its staff and Pedro whim helped us coordinate all of our activities!!). If I could give them a 12/10 I would! Small parking but again amazing place and staff is more than welcoming!

Great property right on the beach. Excellent, uncrowded beach and swimming. Restaurants, bars, clubs, shops, grocery store all within a short walk. Spacious, well equipped apartment and friendly, accommodating staff made me feel right at home. Would definitely recommend to anyone travelling to Playa del Carmen.

The staff were very accommodating & friendly throughout. The location is wonderful & the condo itself was spacious and beautiful. We would definitely consider staying here again! :)

We had an amazing time at this beautiful property! It is exactly as pictured. The manager was very accommodating and the staff was friendly. Beach massages were my favorite. Restaurants and clubs are a short walk away. Fishing and snorkeling tours depart right behind the hotel which was super convenient. Mamitas beach club is also a couple blocks for a more swimable beach. Our family will definitely visit El Taj again.

Everything was perfect until we book other nigth fernanda martinez was in charge the check in at the time i ask her if she let stay same room one day before my check in and she tell not make me do check out and loose my day.and check in again which i thing no need to she could le stay same room but she desire not to speak to other colege they tell the should be not problem… but she make me do check out and check in diferenr room. and lose all my day beside the everything was perfect bell boy Eric was so nice other staff great people.but fernananda Martinez sucks. but the hotel the best in everything so clean
