Hotel was big, really green, and a lot of animals. Nothing for kids around 3-7 years old. No special stuff for kids like water slides or anything fun. There was a kids club with a dirty small pool and one swing. Good beach for kids. It’s not deep can’t go far and no waves. Ideal for kids.For adults there was a special natural pool with no kids aloud. Food was poor but not terrible. Saying this because I’ve been in different Mexico hotels and have something to compare. I’ve visited it once but I won’t go anymore.

All the staff friendly, professional, quick response to all requests. The ONLY disappointment is the lack of quality drinks: in the room freezer only Pepsi and 7up; no orange juice for breakfast; instead, an orange color drink with chemical taste is served. No fruit and yogurt or juice smoothies for breakfast.

We loved the closeness to Xcaret park and Chichen Itza. The staff were amazing, however they push the time share presentation hard, especially on royal guests. The grounds are huge and there is no direct path on resort. They offer shuttle service but often times you have to wait 10-30 mins for a shuttle. The food was the most disappointing part of Occidental Xcaret resort. We paid more for royal service and food too. It was very bland and not good. Be prepared to do a lot of walking.

Went in a group of 8 and stayed at the Royal. Big difference in staff size overall from previous years I have used this hotel. Could use some wait staff at the royal pool and beach area. The hotel is a bit older but very clean. I keep coming back because the grounds are so lush and beautiful.

The property itself is gorgeous, greenery and wildlife was a plus. The private beach was definitely one of my favorite amenities. The only negative’s I would have to say is the food if you are going to Mexico to experience authentic Mexican food this hotel is not it. The food is very TexMex not very authentic. The food was very overcooked and flavorless. It was also repetitive so not many options to choose from. I would not stay here again as one of the big reasons for getting an all inclusive package is the food and we seemed to eat out more than stay at the hotel to enjoy what they had to offer. Another negative about this hotel we felt a little bamboozled when we arrived we had asked if we can purchase tickets to the park next-door. They said we had to speak to someone in order to get those so we thought that they were closed for the day so they booked us an appointment for 8 AM we met with a lady to purchase these tickets. The lady went to eat breakfast with us pretty much spent a couple hours eating breakfast asking us questions we weren’t aware this was going to happen it was a bit awkward as we wanted to enjoy our parents get away. She then proceeds to take us to an office I finally thought we where going to purchase our tickets but it was a time share we felt really pressured to buy and they were making us feel guilty it was not a good experience. We lost 4 hours of our day I wish they would’ve been honest from the start.

We were placed in Siberia. So far away from the main lobby that most of the time we had to wait for transportation. At time was so uncomfortable because of the heat/humidity and the hotel personnel questioning us if we had “time” to hear their hotel membership sales.

I would have to start by saying that the staff was genuinely courteous and respectful. This was our first time traveling to Cancun. I picked the hotel thinking that we were going to have some kind of discount to the actual xcaret park but NO. The facilities were very well maintained and clean. On the contrary I think our room was not quite “ready” the bathroom area was clean but the shower, not too much. Hopefully this survey allows me to share pictures. We voiced our concerns to the front desk but nothing was done. I will not mentioned the persons name as I do not know if it was their fault or someone else’s. If I travel to Cancun again I will check another resort, this one was not cheap and to be honest we were not that impressed.

Rooms were ok, small fridge that didn’t get cold it was cool at best and the pool was very warm almost hot, not enjoyable when it’s 98° out and humid as can be. The food was middle of the road. Staff was friendly and the place was nice and quiet at night. The shows at the Xcaret were amazing to watch j highly recommend that.

I didn’t like the car yo take to the rooms they are only to 10 pm they can keep a lust up 3 am
