The property was a bit dirty. The food was very below average compared to many others we have stayed at in the area of Mexico. Once you check out the staff is almost non responsive. Even if you have several more hours on property.

Everything was great, the food in some restaurants was not too tasty. Should be more elevators in the main lobby, it is too busy and the waiting time is too long to catch the elevator

Kids loved the water park. Overall the property was clean and looked after. We enjoyed our time here. Krystel was our Expedia concierge and she was amazing, checked in with us everyday to see if we needed anything and helped arrange balloons and cake for my daughter’s birthday. I can’t say enough good things about her service, she really did go above and beyond, thank-you.

Krystal Expedia representative!

Just wanted to give a shout out to Krystal from Expedia (representative), she’s actually fixed all of our problems. She went above and beyond to help us. First day did not go very well, we called the front desk 40 times and promised roll away bed for my son but they kept saying yes and it was ignored and at one point I think they blocked our room number! lol So he ended up sleeping on the sofa with his other sibling.

Overall good experience at this resort. Majority of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food options near the pools during the day was inconsistent and there could have been a bit more exciting night time activities/shows and more of them in general. We obtained an "Expedia" bracelet when we checked in and told this would provide additional benefits but these benefits were not explained to us and I feel like we didn't know how to access/take advantage of said benefits as a result. Waterslides were great for the kids.

The food was good and lots of different options for a la carte. The service was good around the pool. The food trucks at lunch were extremely slow. The sports bar food and drinks were good but very slow service. Both our kids ended up sick one day of the trip unsure if it was food/water related or gastro illness. My husband and I however ate at the same places often the same food and did not get sick. Check in and out was quick and easy. The room set up was convenient and ac worked well. Room service was great and mini bar was stocked daily with pop/beer/bottled water. The one complaint I had with the room is how musty it smelled. The smell was less when the overhead fan was on. But the fan was so fast it made it quite cold at night since the blankets are not thick. We chose to get extra blankets and dress warm at night or else the musty smell was so strong.

Excellent customer service. Staff was very friendly, helpful. Resort caters to kids, with a great variety of activities. We really enjoyed our stay at the Royalton Splash. And the Spa was an experience to die for!!!!! We definitely recommend the Royalton!

Everything was great about this property except the restaurants. We could only make reservations the day of and we would wake at 5 am to make dinner reservations and the only time we could get was 9pm for all 5 nights we were there. When we got there at 9pm we still would wait sometimes upto 20 mins to be seated and all of them closed at 10pm so our service sucked as they are starting to close down. We learned to go to the buffet before we had dinner which is ridiculous. We did learn order everything on the menu cuz half of it will suck. The water park…. It was fun but adults could not go on all the slides the reason to go to a water park is to play with your children not sit on the sidelines. The signs did not give any information about the slides so you had to rely on the people working there and they only speak some English. Lazy River was amazing!

Poor food quality.

My wife and I were celebrating our 6 year anniversary here. We got food poisoning on our last day at the hibachi restaurant. The restaurant staff at all the restaurants we dined at had a bad attitude. As someone who has been to many great all inclusive resorts, it felt like the food and service quality was lacking everywhere we went. Overall, the hotel is very big and nice and offers great amenities for families to enjoy. Special shoutout to Krystel who was our Expedia concierge. She seemed to be the only person who wanted to help us during our stay.
