This bach is a converted garage. It is well set up for a younger couple or family. However we are aged, and did not find it suitable in several ways. One was property access. There is no gutter cut-out; instead two large heavy chocks to be manhandled into place. Even then, we sustained some vehicle damage as we drive a little car. We should've parked roadside. A large vehicle would have no difficulty, and younger folk could shift the chocks easier than us.
The main bed is comfortable, and the (petitioned) bunks adequate for children. However (at 64), I was extremely uncomfortable in a bunk with a thin mattress.
The bathroom is so small, the toilet has to be sat on at a 45° angle. The steo into the shower was too high for my father to access, so he was unable to shower all week. The sink was too tiny for him to do a full body wash
The kitchen sink is outside, which is ok in good weather. The covered outside kitchen is well equipped. Our hostess even left us a pot of homemade jam.
The bach would be great for a young family. There is a variety of toys, books and even coloured sheets of art paper.
It is very clean, as are the linens.
Pohara is an excellent place to stay.
