Lovely hotel and location, can’t say a bad word about the experience we had there. The building, the scenery and the water were all really nice.
The only downside for us was the value for money. For the money you pay, I would expect more to do in the resort and far less supplementary costs. We came here on our honeymoon looking for a luxury once in a lifetime type experience and the amount of things that were additional costs on the menus and the general price of things (including the alcohol) was too high and put us off really relaxing and treating ourselves. I would have spent far more if I felt I was getting better value. Engaging evening entertainment was lacking, whilst the artists that were on were amazing they were all very relaxation mode and on an evening left us with not much to do, so each night we just went back to the room after food.
The staff were brilliant and attentive, the rooms were nice and the food was good but I don’t think I would stay here again, there was nothing special beyond the beautiful Mauritian scenery.
