Perfect peaceful getaway
We loved staying here. It was so quiet and cozy. The views are breathtaking and the wildlife that came and visited everyday was awesome. Would definitely recommend this place and will hopefully be back soon.

Beautiful surroundings
Love the location. Very secluded and peaceful. They supply dry cut wood but be sure to bring you own axe to make kindling. The picture shows a coffee pot but there is no coffee pot. We figured out how to use the French press, so no harm, no foul. Highly recommend this place.

A little slice of peace on earth. Wonderful watching the deer every evening out in the hay field. Property was perfect for a much needed off grid stay and Mary is so kind. If you can’t find yourself here, you are lost! We will be back!!

Wonderful Stay! Truly the Middle of Nowhere!
We had a lovely time! A beautiful, clean cabin with a gorgeous, peaceful view. I highly recommend you stay here if you like the peace and quiet. The downside is that its very far from Logan's Pass and the east side of the park. This makes it hard to get to some of the more desirable parts of the park early enough to get parking for the best hikes. The upside is that it's truly the most peaceful area around the park, and less than an hour to Kalispell airport. That made it SO much easier to get there and back to New Jersey via Delta Airlines. Also, coming from the East Coast time zone, it really was no bother to get up at 5am Mountain Time to make it to the good hikes in time (it was actually 7am after all!). I appreciated the other reviewers commenting on the shower, so that we were prepared for quick showers with lower than normal water pressure, but they were perfectly fine overall! Would stay there again for sure! <3

Great location off the grid. The kitchen needs more serving bowls for salad etc. There were cobwebs in s few corners and the tub was not very clean.

Beautiful cabin in a stunning location
This is a gem of a cabin nestled on a meadow overlooking the quiet, northwestern edge of Glacier National Park. It is just a minute or two from Polebridge and its delights (Polebridge Mercantile, Northern Lights Saloon) and 10 minutes from the Polebridge entrance to Glacier. But it also provides easy access to all the North Fork area has to offer--hikes, river access, fishing, boating ...etc. The cabin has comfortable beds, a well-provisioned kitchen, and a gorgeous porch for sipping coffee or wine and watch the sunrise/sunset. Mary & Ian are super responsive hosts and made sure we were taken care of while at the cabin. I would definitely stay here again!

Outstanding cabin to recharge your emotional batteries. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Wildlife abounds. The pastries from the Merc are an added bonus. Bowman Lake is a must see. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Spectacular views. Very Clean. Don't worry about "off the grid."
View out the big front window is spectacular. Very clean. Bed was comfortable. Solar power was not an issue-we would have not known if it was not in the property description. The unpaved road to Bowman lake was passable for a variety of vehicles but easier in a high-clearance vehicles. Everything at the Polebridge Mercantile was great. Memorable experience all around!

Lovely setting for quiet and enjoying nature. The off-grid set-up was nice to unplug but made it difficult to contact host with a few issues during our stay. Cleanliness and kitchen amenities were average. After a full day of hiking, the water heating system barely supported one 4-5 min shower before turning very cold. Love the log cabin design; the wood is beautiful. The bed was very comfortable! Hiking in Glacier was incredible but we recommend starting early to make sure you are able to find a parking place if you plan to drive your own car to trailheads.

Smooth check in and check out. Property as listed, way out in the North Fork. No phones!! Had slight issue with water but owner who is on site took care of it right away. I would recommend this property for the solitude and the incredible views.

Off the Grid
What an amazing place! It is beautiful and in a wonderful location. We have no complaints, however, a few notes for anyone considering this cabin: (1) it is very difficult to cool the upper level and we found that we would be sleeping in near 80 degrees and it was 50 in the downstairs (2) the bathroom is downstairs (3) there is no path to the creek and there is no instruction in the cabin on how to find the creek - once located (helpful neighbors) there are "no trespassing" signs everywhere and a huge load of river rocks has to be climbed (possibly due to flood control?) and crossed to access the creek

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful location
The cabin was rustic but with enough amenities to make it a not-too-roughing-it experience! Keep in mind it is about a 45 minute drive to Apgar on the west side of Glacier, and you will drive on some unpaved roads. But the drive is lovely. There is wildlife nearby. In fact, a black bear walked past out cars and right past our front window! And there are mosquitos, so be prepared to swat as many as you can after you enter the cabin. We did have some trouble with the cabin's on-demand water heater; it would shut off sometimes after about 5 minutes of use and have to be reset. Easy enough, but a little inconvenient. We were not able to contact the owners.since there was no cell service in the area. But overall a really lovely cabin and a great place for our family to gather and make day trips to Glacier. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Cabins and Location
The cabins were very beautiful with stunning views. We enjoyed being in a more remote area, without having to camp and this place checked all the boxes. It was a phenomenal place to rest after a day of exploring. We even saw a bald eagle during our stay. The owner was also very quick to remedy our grill that was out of gas. However, for the price of the cabin we were disappointed with the overall cleanliness. The tub had some scum in the bottom of it, and the cabin looked like it gets just sort of wiped down rather than a full cleaning between visits. We were also disappointed to learn basic linens means 1 towel and 1 wash cloth per person for the entire week we stayed.

Hidden Gem of Glacier
This property was everything we could have asked for and more! The cabin was tucked back on the NW side of the park. The view from the porch was unbelievable and it was no issue getting to anywhere else you wanted to visit in the park. I would recommend this place to anyone who doesn’t want to deal with the hustle and bustle of the crowded hotels that are on the interior of the park. I will be back for sure!

Beautiful and peaceful
Beautiful and tranquil setting. Cabin was cozy once we started a fire in the wood burning stove. The town of west glacier is about 45 minutes by car. The Polebridge Mercantile store is about ten minutes away and offers homemade pastries and pizza. Be sure to visit Home Ranch Bottoms for a welcome beer and good food, including vegetarian options. Our host was communicative and friendly. I would stay here again.
