This knotty pine duplex cabin is situated above a private barking sand beach on the beautiful Lake Huron. With a fire pit, a butterfly garden, and lots of sand, this charming cabin is the perfect place for a large family holiday or a group trip to the beach.
Our cabin sits right on the water with direct access to our private beach which you’ll share with the guests in the Garden Side Cabin. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of sand for everyone!
A charcoal grill awaits your brats or steaks or whatever was on sale at Walt’s Meat Market across the street.
This can be a quiet romantic getaway for long walks on the beach, or an exciting family splash fest with fire roasted hot dogs and scorched marshmallows.

We reserved both sides of the duplex for four couples. We were there for a wedding in Port Austin. Kitchens were well stocked. Beds were comfortable. Very clean. We enjoyed the beach right outside our door.

Lovely location
The cabin was sweet, and extremely well appointed. I brought a few kitchen items in case it was only basics, but we needed nothing. We had hoped to be able to hear the waves at night, but cabin is so well insulated that really couldn't hear them at all. I'm sure in the summer, with windows cracked, it sounds great. Our one issue was the completely unsupportive mattress. The owner said it was memory foam and new, but our 8-year old memory foam mattress at home is much firmer. We spent the second and third nights in the smaller bed in the next bedroom, which was quite a bit better.

We enjoyed our visit. The weather didn’t cooperate, so we stayed indoors. Most of the time we did a fair amount of cooking in the kitchen as well. It was enjoyable to have a bonfire and listen to the lake.

Best Vacation Ever
We’ve visited Port Austin a few other times but this lake front cabin was ideal for the whole family and our beautiful German Shepard Gus. It had all the amenities and made us feel right at home. Also, the hosts (Paul & Jade) payed such great detail to the little things that made this trip that much more memorable. We will definitely stay here again and I highly recommend this charming gem to anyone looking for a quiet and memorable getaway. Thanks again Paul & Jade!

We had an incredible time at Paul and Jade’s cabin! It was perfect for a weekend getaway! Stunning views of the lake and our boys loved playing on the beach. The cabin was cozy, clean, and comfortable! Close to everything in Port Austin! Would stay again :)

The Cabin is awesome, right on the beach! Had all items needed for cooking and very clean. Location is awesome just about halfway between Port Austin and Caseville. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants a great beach get away!

Great place in fantastic location
Had a wonderful time here with our family. House is right on the beach, where there is plenty of sand and rock-free water. Ample shoreline to walk along. Location is right in the middle of Caseville and Port Austin (10 minutes from each). Only suggestion would be to upgrade mattresses as well as box springs in front bedroom and bottom bunk (didn't try top bunk or back bedroom on main floor). They were both squeaky and woke us every time someone shifted in the night.

Loved the beach front location
We found the property to be exactly as described! Loved the beach front access and the bonfire and outdoor table areas. Our only complaint would be the use of double beds in every room, just not a great set up for couples traveling together. However, the location was perfect for us to get to hangout outside and spend time with our pups!

Memorial Day weekend
