The place wasn't the best. The rooms were outdated and tacky, in need of some TLC. The staff were friendly and the food was very good so overall the stay was OK but I probably wouldn't come back as the room / decor and sleep was uncomfortable.

Iā€™ll be brutally honest the staff are absolutely fantastic, but the property was extremely dated in rooms The walls need painting stains down the walls. Bathrooms are dated windowsills not clean. Beds need changing the whole place needs to refresh upstairs.

Communication was great as it took us a while to drive and we were worried we'd miss check in. Lad who checked us in was great! There is a slight smell as you head upstairs and continues into the room. Nothing offensive though. Clean bedding and towels and tea and coffee facilities. There were marks on the carpet and it was sticky in places. Bathroom was clean but mould starting to show on walls and ceiling. No shower gel left in dispenser but this was rectified when advised.

Old,old, tired pub...just a bit grim. Every wall, carpet and door was stained or tatty. Took ages to check in, couldnt find the booking.. room was huge with a tiny monitor on the wall (about 12 foot high).. bed was miles away so it may as well not be there. Brea,fast is served at 8am, way too late on the week days. Also, you can not come down to e it the pub until 8am, if you do, you have to go out the metal fire escape.. looking at the door, i am not sure it opens! There is one huge good point.. THE STAFF.. they were brilliant.. really friendly and helpful... For the money, i would never go back... but the staff almost make it worth while.. The pub/brewery need to invest in this place

Room 9. Right outside your bedroom window is the kitchen extract fan that is like a jumbo jet. I couldnā€™t open the window because of the noise or smell. Once the kitchen had finished it went off so I could then open my windows for fresh air. The room is dated and is desperately needed a paint job and the carpet needs changing.Its dusty in the room and the windows are filthy. The only positive is the shower is powerful. Shame there are no blinds or curtains in the bathroom. The corridor carpets again disgusting. The corridor light is hanging off the ceiling. The staff however seem friendly enough. Paying Ā£335 for 4 nights is daylight robbery for what I got in return. I would never stay again it needs a full make over. Itā€™s been a very long time since I stayed in a battered old hotel but you live and learn.

Myself and my husband, stayed at the twelve nights on thursday 6th june after a take that concert. I found my experience from start to finish was exceptional from the staff to the amazing breakfast cooked by rosie. Who deserves a special mention. Will definitely be back
