This was by far the nicest and cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Amenities are fantastic and the room had anything you would need. Highly suggest this hotel for anybody traveling to the Kalamazoo/Portage are.

I was delighted with your staff and their professional and friendly assistance during my stay. The natural area behind the building had deer, a groundhog, a gray heron, and multiple birds. The coffee was GREAT too. I enjoyed nine nights and recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was poor. I only had scrambled eggs, but no meat other than sausage gravy was a terrible option. No veggies. Fruit and bread options were available as well as make your own waffle. Drinks were good in coffee, tea, milk or juice. Boxed yogurt is ok as well.

Very clean rooms. Loved that they had Netflix. Best shower water pressure I've ever had in a hotel. Great breakfast. Super friendly staff. If they just had fridges in the room it'd be perfect.

On arrival the desk clerk questioned us suspiciously about how many were staying, my daughter responded with 3, we're moving daughter in to school. Still regarding us with suspicion he says my credit card doesn't look like a regular card and says it looks like a housing aid card "What?" I don't even know what you're talking about. We establish it's a "real card" Later I was at desk and he smiles and hands woman a complimentary water, didn't give us any, it was 90 degrees and had just moved granddaughter and were obviously hot. Why the difference? He assumed we were not "good customers" and we didn't deserve it. That was because I'm old daughter is overweight, grandson is hippie & granddaughter is black. He did not see us as diverse he saw us as less than.

Overall it was a great stay. I requested and was given a room at the rear of the hotel which was away from the traffic noise. The breakfast was good with several options. Although it was quite cool in the breakfast area.

Check in was very easy and the employees are very pleasant and helpful. Ask for a room facing the back if you are noise sensitive while sleeping as the hotel is next to a pretty busy highway.
