500 Square Foot spacious studio on top of our garage. Private entrance. 1 staircase up. Like an urban tree house. Lots of light and a skylight. Queen bed for 2 and a foldout sofa for 2 more. Full kitchen with new appliances. Coffee and tea are provided. Full bathroom. High speed internet. Roku TV with Netflix and Amazon. Beautifully decorated. Heat and AC. Private parking outside the garage is available. We are long time Portlanders and would be pleased for you to come and visit. We would like to make your experience enjoyable and comfortable. Perfect little retreat
The location was great, close by to restaurants and markets..The property itself was very clean and well-maintained. It was very comfortable and uniquely decorated. My husband and I enjoyed our stay and it met our needs in every way!

Great place to stay, steps to Hawthorne.
We stayed here 8 nights, and were very comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom are modern, clean and have everything you need. It is quiet, with a parking spot, and we would stay here again for our next trip. For folks who like to sleep in, bring a sleep mask as the morning sun does filter through the blinds. The owners live in the big house, and respond quickly with any questions.

Great Location!
The location was ideal to jump on the bus to go downtown plus the neighborhood offered lots of fun shopping and great restaurants. The property was clean, well appointed, and cozy after a long day of sightseeing. I would highly recommend this property!

Wonderful location!

The place was super neat and clean. Easy communication with the host. We met them outside one evening coming back from dinner and they were very nice people! The neighborhood is very nice and quiet at night. We loved how close we were to some local establishments. A pizza place right across the street, an amazing breakfast place around the corner, and a bakery made it easy for some quick meals. Walk a little further and you can get margaritas, wine, beer, plus many more restaurants to choose from! Our ONLY issue was the parking situation (which has been mentioned before). They tried really hard to explain where to park but we still blocked the neighbors space. For future reference, you have to pull in and park between the light pole and the red flag/ plant. Not in front of the garage or too far off to the left. Everything was fine once we figured it out though!!

Cute apartment in a great location!
My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this cute apartment. It’s a studio but felt quite spacious. The apartment is filled with natural light. It does get light quite early in the summer. So, you might want to bring a sleep mask if you need it dark to sleep. The apartment is walking distance from tons of great restaurants on Hawthorne and has easy access to the bike trail along the river. We would definitely stay there again!

Great stay in the Best of Hawthorne
Our recent stay was top class. Hosts were very responsive to questions prior to arrival, check in was a breeze. Property is like new and well furnished with everything you need. Thoughtful binder left to review everything and provide answers to almost every question you would need to know. Its those little thoughts and touches that make it a great home away from home. Location is also superb for exploring the local neighborhoods for restaurants, parks, food trucks etc. We also used the apartment as a base to venture further afield to Columbia Gorge, Silver Falls State Park and the Oregon Coast. If we visit the Portland area again in the future we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

This stay made me fall in love with Portland
The property is in the most perfect location. It's a nice and friendly neighborhood. We spent some time on Hawthorne, which has amazing restaurants to offer. The hosts were more than helpful. They had tons of informational pamphlets to assist you with planning your trip especially showing you other things to do you may not have known about. Overall, I loved my time there and I'm already planning on my next visit.

Perfect stay
Great parking. Clean comfortable and everything needed for a week long stay. Literally right off Hawthorne a block from breakfast shopping and coffee. Host was incredibly helpful and quick with responses. Love the neighborhood and will be back next time we are in PDX.

The "Best of Hawthorne" was literally close to everything! Clean, well appointed and comfortable -- we will definitely seek it out when next in Portland. It's worth staying there just to check out the VERY cool main light fixture....or is it art?? Regardless, we very much enjoyed our stay!
