Live like a local in our beautiful one-bedroom craftsman home that blends modern design with century old architecture. This private space is located in trendy Kenton on a quiet street. The lushly landscaped front yard is a great place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee, local beer, or a glass of wine. Cook your purchases from one of Portland’s many farmer’s markets in the full kitchen. Then get a great night’s sleep the comfy queen bed. Come see what makes Portland uniquely Portland!
As you enter the front door of our craftsman home you'll find a 600 square foot private space with abundant windo lighting and an eclectic set of furnishings. Enjoy the living/dining room combo, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom as well as the outdoor spaces including the front porch bistro table and the side yard with two Adirondack chairs.
At the back of the kitchen there is an exterior door with a deadbolt separating the front portion of the home with the back of the home where we live. There is only one partial shared wall between the two spaces allowing for maximum privacy.
The neighborhood is dog friendly and we have a small dog in our living space but in order to keep the rental space clean and enjoyable for all guests, we don't allow dogs.
The location is on a quiet street and convenient to many of Portland's unique neighborhoods (Kenton, Alberta Arts, Mississippi, St. John's) and five miles from downtown. There is easy access to many conveniences like Columbia Park (3 blocks), bus stop (two blocks), U. of P. (one mile), and Green Zebra Grocery (6 blocks). This was the perfect place in a cute neighborhood and exactly what we needed for our short stay in Portland. Loved the character of the house which just added to the relaxing and welcoming feel. Great little house that was super clean and inviting! We didn't use the kitchen but as I nosed around it appeared to be well stocked, we could have cooked up meals easily. For us, it was a good location, close to our kids, for others maybe not so much. Located in the Kenton area it is in a quiet neighborhood with adequate parking. Way comfortable bed and nice shower!

This is an excellent choice to stay if you’re visiting the area with a spouse or partner. It had just the right amount of space for my wife and I. I had a rental and parking was ALWAYS available right out front which was my main worry and though a little up north for everything I was interested in the house was in the perfect location. A very nice unit in many ways
This is a delightful one-bedroom home in a great neighborhood, quiet and safe, with good street parking. The location is excellent for parks, coffees, and groceries. The kitchen is very well-appointed, with spices, coffee beans, and a huge fridge. The bathroom has a lovely selection of bath products (shampoo, conditioner and body wash). We were mostly quite comfortable here. However, there are some things that we suggest need attention. One of us slept in the bed, and the other on the sofa bed in the living room. The mattress on the bed was quite lumpy and uncomfortable, stained underneath the mattress pad, and definitely needs replacement. The reading lamps are two glaring spotlights balanced on top of the bed frame and very easy to dislodge. There is a ceiling fan in the living room, but the bedroom could really use a portable fan. The unit seems more suited for a couple, as the sofa bed was rather awkward to set up and take down each day. The bathroom could use a safety grab bar to help climbing in and out of the tub/shower. The heating and cooling system was complicated to operate. With some attention, this unit would certainly deserve five stars. We would definitely re-book if there were some changes.
