I take full accountability for not doing my due diligence on this property. That being said, there are some things you just won’t know until it’s too late. Firstly, the owner never sent us check-in information until we asked 1 hour before arriving. We also asked for parking information and were completely ignored for over 12 hours.
Inside the place there were flies flying around as if it were a family reunion. The stove smelled horribly of natural gas. There was 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper in total, 1 glass, 1 plate, no WiFi info. In fact there was no information about anything.
We were the only people in the building minus the two men you could hear laughing from the basement and smoking so much you could smell it in the apartment.
Right inside the door of the building is an old lawyers office with a padlock on the door and foggy vinyl so that you couldn’t see in. Except part of it was peeled back and it was stacked full of papers, chairs, and old furniture.
Out back of the apartment is a fenced in area with so many bags of garbage that there was about four rows thick of them. My wife is just over 5’ and it was taller than she is.
Long story short…do your due diligence, google addresses so that you can see if the owner is safe enough to rent from and just don’t stay here.
