There was dark mold on the tile walll in the shower. A huge spider on the wall and the bed was dirty looking. The musty smell mixed with the superstrong nlesck from the sheets was so unbearable i left in the middle of the night

This was a great place to stay for a late incoming flight. The shuttle was convenient and easy, and the staff made checking in quick. The only drawback was nothing available or within a quick walk for breakfast.

Cheap motel close to the airport
We stayed here before an early flight from PDX. Parking is $10 (not listed on Hotels.com that way), the AC has a constantly running fan whether or not the AC or heat are on. To stop the fan from blowing it needs to be unplugged. The planes stopped flying overhead between about 1 and 3am and thin walls to not protect from outside noises. We did not sleep. No elevator. Stairs to the second floor. Pluses: refrigerator in the room, close to the airport and the front desk person was nice and efficient.

Red Lion hotel - Portland airport
My stay at Red Lion hotel was good except was toilet was not flushing good. I got the room at the last minute and got the shuttle from the airport. It was easy to arrange. I had a early shuttle ride too. I was able to get a wake up call. They do not have breakfast but I left early anyways. The bed is comfortable and the shower feels great. This is my second stay at this hotel

The building is older, but it has been renovated nicely. It was clean. The only thing I didn't like was it's a little noisy with the slamming doors. It was perfect for our stay.

Very convenient to PDX with free airport shuttle. Allowed my golden retriever to stay for an additional $15, which was less than other pet friendly places. Super friendly and helpful staff. I did have a major issue with the parent company, Sonestra. After booking my room through Expedia I thought I should call the hotel to make sure they really allow dogs (had an unfortunate experience once). I couldn’t find a direct number for the hotel, just a 1-800 number for Sonestra/Red Lion. The person who answered said that they did allow dogs for a $35 fee. I told him the website said it was $15 and he said it was wrong. So I asked if dogs were also allowed on the complimentary airport shuttle and he said generally yes, but this location did not have an airport shuttle. I told him the website said it did and he said again that the website was wrong. I told him I wanted to cancel my reservation and he asked how I booked it and I said through expedia, so he told me to go to expedia to cancel it. I located my expedia confirmation and followed the steps to cancel, but discovered along the way a direct line to the hotel, so I called as was reassured that they accept dogs with a $15 pet fee and that they have a complimentary airport shuttle that also accepts dogs. So Expedia’s site had everything correct and Sonestra gets zero stars.
