This was everything you needed for a hotel. It was safe, clean, comfortable bed, and had all the amenities. Our room had a fridge and microwave. The lobby had free breakfast, it was simple with cereal, muffins, bagels, fruit, yogurt, etc., but everything was very good. I forgot my hair brush and the man at the front desk went out and bought me a comb because they didn’t happen to have any left! The only downside is that it isn’t really walkable to downtown, but it is much more affordable than the downtown hotels. We were able to get an Uber/Lyft.

Hotel was very convenient off highway and an easy 1.5 mile drive to downtown for food and retail. there didn’t seem to be food options within walking distance, but so many options just downtown. Room and bathroom were very clean. AC worked great. Excellent price considering rates at other hotels in area. Easy check-in, except was given a connecting room when I explicitly asked at reservation AND check-in for a non-connecting room. The area felt safe enough. It more than satisfied our needs as an overnight pit stop on a road trip.

Lobby was extremely hot. The fact that they actually charged $100 on my credit card for incidentals instead of just a hold was disturbing when they said it could be up to 7 business days before you see a refund - that could create a hardship for many customers.

Rooms were smaller then I like but very clean. Staff was great, exercise room was lacking. Price was better then everywhere else in the area as well and it wasn't close. I would stay again.

Don’t stay here. I’m literally never harsh on reviews, but we didn’t have hot water in our shower for our two day stay, our room smelled like cigarettes, and worst of all… WE HAD BED BUGS. We all came home with bites all over our bodies and now the hotel is refusing a refund. Portsmouth as a town is lovely, but stay somewhere else.
