Van Vliet Lake is a 230 acre lake located in Vilas County. It has a maximum depth of 20 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from a public boat landing. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye.

Great stay
The layout of the house was great for a larger group. The kitchen was adequately supplied for cooking. The decor is very nice with a definite Northwoods feel. Beds were comfortable. The deck was great. The entrance to the basement was great and had great storage for fishing gear. If we come back to the area, we would stay here again.

On the second day a thunderstorm came through and knocked out the internet for the remainder of our stay. This was problematic for one person in our party who needed to stay connected with work. The bathtub drain is plugged. Unable to locate anyone to help us with this. Aside from these two issues, the property was great with a fantastic view. Loved the space, the privacy and the location. Hope to come back next year

Christmas Family Vacation
Great set up for family vacation with three married couples and 4 college aged kids. The kitchen island is the dining room table so a bit of creative prepping, cooking and eating required ;). Only 6 stools for island but we pulled in the bench from living room (for the taller people to use). Also provided were tv trays that we used to eat from if we were watching a movie. Would recommend towel bars in bathrooms, kitchen washcloths and hand towels, and updating some cookware as it is very difficult to clean. Overall an amazing time.

We used it for a snowmobile trit's not a pill trip everything was good a combination was good the view was nice the only thing it was lacking is accessibility to get on and off the lake with the snowbills we had to run the side of the road for a quarter mile and it was pretty bare

We have missed the snow but we had a great time just hanging with family here. House was well equipped with all the necessities. Was a little disappointed on how poorly they management returned my request for some information on the property. Also the temperature of the house could get quite chilly. We tried to adjust thermostat but never seemed to get warm. Would not want to stay here during extreme cold weather.

Great Winter Getaway
I would recommend this property for a winter trip. I assume it would be great in the summer too. There is a charcoal grill (there was some confusion about this when I asked the management company). Also, I was very surprised that they didn’t plow the driveway after a snowfall of over a foot. Luckily I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee with snow tires.

Wonderful stay
This property was better than we expected. The views and remoteness of the house was perfect. The house was the prefect size for us. We did have a little issue with the water heater but the property owner got back to us almost immediately and problem was solved shortly after. We will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful views from great room and completely stocked kitchen! The quiet was a welcomed respite from 2020 city life. This home had all we needed for sunny and rainy days- tons of games, snuggly bedding, loaded kitchen, private pier, kayaks and water frontage fun.
