Welcome to Smith Family Farm! Our fifth-generation owners converted the historic family farmhouse into a charming and functional Minnesota vacation house rental. With sleeping arrangements for 10 guests, modern amenities, and 36 acres of private land, our property offers everything you need for a peaceful getaway or small event.



From the full-scale kitchen with appliances to air conditioning and spacious interiors, our on-site amenities ensure you and your guests get the most out of your relaxing getaway or small event.

Located just a short distance from Interstate 90, our property provides the tranquility of nature with the proximity to several towns and major cities. Feel free to contact us for any recommendations!

Originally built in 1876, the 2,250-square-foot house has two stories, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms. The first floor has 1,200 square feet of space, as well as a full bathroom with a soaking tub that has a hand-shower wand. There is no stand-up shower in this bathroom.

The second floor has 800 sq. feet of space and a full bathroom with a standing shower tub. Additionally, there are 250 sq. feet of space in the basement, which allows for a nice little space to play or set up games.

Two of the bedrooms have queen-sized beds, each of which is large enough to accommodate two adults. In the third bedroom, there are four extra-large twin-sized beds, each of which is big enough for adults. Additionally, the sunroom has a queen-size Murphy bed, which allows you to host up to 10 people, preferably a mixture of kids and adults.

The newly renovated house has all the amenities you could need and is the perfect place to hold a small gathering or event or simply get away for a weekend.

We have a 7-hole disc golf course, putting green, and many other outdoor games available such as corn-hole and bocce ball.

Everything about this property is wonderful. The house is immaculate and fully stocked with everything you could need. The grounds are beautiful--when we weren't playing yard games or exploring the trails, we were relaxing on the porch. The owners are very responsive and so helpful. I can't say enough good things!

Wonderful home. Beautiful location. I cannot overstate how absolutely perfect everything was. Home clean, comfortable, lots! Of towels. Washer and dryer too. Lots of firewood. Perfect outdoor kitchen with fire pit. We woke in the morning hearing the birds. coffee on the front porch continuing conversations from the evening before. Renovated Farmhouse
We enjoyed our stay at this completely renovated farmhouse. The owners put a ton of work into modernizing the house into a fully functional house with all the amenities while keeping the charm of the original home. The highlight has to be outside. The adjacent gazebo and fire pit are awesome. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a rural getaway or family gathering.

Beautiful Modern Farmhouse
This property was nothing short of amazing! We spent most of our time in the kitchen, as I booked this house for an intimate Thanksgiving with my partner’s family. It was snowing, so we weren’t able to explore the outdoor aspects too much, but there is a closet in the basement with outdoor activity supplies such as baseball mitts and balls, beanbag toss, and quality frisbees for the course. The kitchen was the perfect space to cook a Thanksgiving feast, and the dining room area sat us all comfortably. The soaking tub was sooooo nice, and the hosts were thoughtful enough to provide candles and a few bath bombs for our stay! Overall, this property is a 15/10, and I cannot say enough good things about it. You do need to take a gravel road to access the house, but the road is maintained very well and handles well without AWD even in fresh snow.

Family Time at the Farm
This property is so comfortable. We loved the huge firepit and enjoyed one night of a beautiful evening by the fire and stargazing at the Milky Way. Sadly, the rest of the week was rainy and cold but at least we got in one good one! The house is very spacious allowing plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and relax! The huge kitchen was delightful for cooking and very well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils and even a few food items! We loved every minute of our stay!

This was our first visit to Minnesota/Wisconsin and the Farmhouse was the perfect jumping off point for our father/son fishing trip on the Upper Mississippi. The house had all the charm of an old farm house but updated with top of the line amenities. It exceeded all expectations! We had a wonderful stay at the Smith home. Corey had everything we could have needed to make us feel at home. The disk golf course, putting green, cornhole boards and bocci ball set were an extra bonus that provided plenty of activities for us.

We enjoyed 5 nights at the Smith Farm and loved it. The house is really nicely decorated and there is everything you need to be able to cook family meals. The sunrise and sunset views both are lovely! the disc golf course is great and the dogs loved the ability to run the property. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of towels, etc, as well. thank you for such a lovely property! This is close to our daughter's school, so we will be back!

We were so impressed with this property! It was the perfect place for my sister and me to stay with our families and host a dinner with all of our siblings and parents to celebrate our parent's anniversary. Country life at its finest!
Our stay was absolutely wonderful ! We had 8 adults and one 6yo at our family reunion, there was plenty of room, and it was great. We chose a week with no moon so we could enjoy about 1 trillion stars and WOW that's an understatement ! We also got to see the tesla train and if you don't know what that is it's line of satellites that it wild. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us it was fantastic!!!

Corey was so great to work with! He was VERY prompt and so sweet to answer questions that might have been considered not necessary; like, do you have corn hole? The property is very clean and spacious. Our kids range from 16-21 years old and all said without a doubt they want to come back to the Smith Farm!!

Wonderful farmhouse!
Super clean; absolutely adorable; lots of space; welcome and inviting farmhouse! We stayed here with our two kids (ages 5 & 6) and our dog and had an amazing time at this place. We had family game nights, movie nights, grilled out, played frisbee golf, a little putting action....this place was perfect for our spring break getaway! We will be coming back again - looking forward to sneaking in some fall colors here. Thanks to the awesome hosts for allowing us to stay here!

The house and property are beautiful. We had six people one night and eight another night. It's very comfortable for a group that size. The house is nicely decorated and the kitchen is well stocked with what we needed. We enjoyed walking on the trail. If it was warmer we would have been outside more playing games.
