We enjoyed our stay at Margarittaville. The facility and rooms are immaculate. It is a smaller resort but it was perfect for our 4 night stay. There is no beach but who needs a beach! There are are several different pool areas and depending on whether you desire a quieter area to sunbathe or the 5 o’clock somewhere pool which has music, liveliness, and fun activities. The food was very good and the service was superb. We would love to give a special shoutout to Angel and Mariel (Activity Specialists) who made all activities exciting. The day bartender at The Salted Rim, Angel, is the very best. I found myself wandering from the pool to the inside Salted Rim bar to get the best of the best drinks. The liquor is better and Angel made my drinks to specification. All in all, this was a super place to vacation and the price was less expensive than all other similar resorts.

The staff is wonderful, the resort is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The rooms have everything you need to rest and feel pampered. The staff go beyond, so sweet and really make your stay feel special. The food is excellent! This was my second time and won't be my last. Sergio the pool waiter was fantastic! The social team of Angel, Regina and Angelo were so nice and fun! Irving is an excellent bar tender. Jose and Sefario are excellent waiters in the Boathouse. Can't thank them enough for making our visit so wonderful. We hope to be back soon!

We had an amazing time at this resort, although it was booked by mistake. Our personal concierge, Febe, was incredible and went above and beyond to help us with everything and make sure we felt like VIP guests. Food was really, really good! You will be disappointed

Checked out after 1 night!!! When I had 5 night stay originally planned!!! I feel that I was scammed based on what was sold to me on the Expedia website as it did not align with what I experienced in person at the resort. For the price of the resort, the quality of the food, beverages, restaurants and bars, were extremely poor. The staff were nice, but extremely inexperienced. The restaurants were constantly understaffed, resulting in poor service at times, the food looked like it was sloppily thrown together and tasted cold several times, and the drinks were often undrinkable. I understand this is a new resort, not even a year old, but to be charging the prices they are charging, guests are rightfully expecting a more luxurious experience, considering the resort calls itself a luxury adults only resort. I have been a customer of Expedia with several happy stays in hotels in different countries, and this is the first time I have been so extremely disappointed in the recommendation by Expedia for this resort. I want to request a refund as I feel my experience was not at all as advertised for the money that I paid. My experience at Margaritaville was so poor that I checked out early after one night out of five nights, and went to a different resort.

Overall, this property is awesome. Over Christmas, it was relatively quiet...pretty chill vibe. However, for the price paid, it was a bit of a bitter pill to have to pay extra for medium to upper tier booze. Food was grwat in all of the restaurants.....and omg the osobucco......bring a biiig appetite. The steakhouse is spectacular...try the pichania. Carlos the sommelier is amazing as is all of the staff. All super friendly. Would go back in a heartbeat. Just an fyi tho. There is minimal if nada beach.

Overall the property was very nice and accommodating. The concierge to schedule dinner reservations only being available from 9-2pm daily and not being able to schedule dinners in advance is challenging. We were there for our wedding anniversary and I notified the property of this and wanted to schedule a dinner at the steakhouse for that night in advance but I was not able to do it until we arrived and the concierge was no longer open. This could be improved by allowing this in advance online. The wifi coverage in the pool area was really bad and did not work consistently. In room the wifi access was fine but in the outdoor pool area it needs improvement. Having quiet times during the day around the pools with no music would be nice as well even for an hour in the morning and afternoon.

From ease of check in to clean property to great staff, we enjoyed our time at this resort. They provided great activities, exercise at the pool each day, tequila tasting, cocktail making class, good music. LandShark restaurant food and entertainment was great. License to Chill served a variety of great tacos. Coffee Bar in Joe's Merchant included pastries, salads and sandwiches. The Boathouse was the buffet, it provided great choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner, our waitress Yitzy was great. Room Service was good and housekeeping was great, we had Melby. The reservation only restaurants, Frank & Lola's and JWB Steakhouse were both disappointments. The food was dry (our group had mahi mahi, seafood risotto and chicken parm ~ all were dry, with requested added sauce the chicken parm was ok), just expected more flavorful food for a reservation only restaurant. JWB Steakhouse, DON'T waste time on any upcharged steaks. Our waiter, Carlos was great. The upcharge steaks were cut incorrectly (rib eye and cowboy). One of the rib eye steaks we were served was mostly fat and cut like a thin, flat steak, when we complained to the head waiter, Christian, he dismissed our concerns and told us we were wrong and there was nothing he could do, not someone that should be a Head Waiter. We paid almost $100 extra for the rib eye. Paid extra for the Caribbean Lobster, no flavor and dry. The baked potato was the size of a small red potato. The quality of the steaks were just okay.

Service can be improved, servers take a long time to bring a drink or they don't come to the table. Every time I had to ask them to bring water to the table. The room smelled very strongly of mold. The air grille had black marks. When I told the hostess upon arriving, she said she is unable to smell it, although it was very strong. The non-smoking areas are too few and there are no proper ashtrays. There is no beach any longer and the resort should make this public knowledge. The same as for the non-smoking policy. Had I known there is no beach and the resort is non-smoking, I would have chosen a different resort. Otherwise, the property is beautiful, very clean and well cared for. Food was good as well.
