WELCOME to our beautiful Caribbean “piece of paradise”, Villa de las Sirenas (House of the Mermaids). There are breath-taking ocean views, your own private pool and a beautifully landscaped yard. The property is completely fenced to ensure your privacy.

This is a beautifully custom-built villa with 5 bedrooms that will comfortably sleep 12 people and 5 full baths (one outside by the pool for your convenience). It is within walking distance of the ocean front beach, a convenience store, several restaurants and bars, Ocean World (a mini sea world that children will love) and a full-service marina.

The rental fee includes a professional, attentive and amazing full-time staff to make your vacation perfect. This includes a Chef, housekeeper and gardener and pool attendant. The staff is trustworthy, kind, fun and you will love them. Imagine having all of your meals prepared, your beds made daily, all of your personal needs attended to, your excursions designed and customized for you and your family and/or guests, and your transportation to and from the airport arranged. No worries, no hassle!!

Enjoy the private pool while you lounge in the sun surrounded by luscious, manicured, tropical garden areas. If you prefer, take a 2-minute walk to Cofresi beach and play in the warm, rolling waves.

Tania, our talented villa chef, will prepare and cook just about anything your heart desires, including delicious Dominican cuisine. We have a culinary guide that will help you determine what food and beverage you will need to purchase. Your food will be fresh and properly washed for consumption. To purchase your food you can send Tania with money to the grocery store to buy food of your choosing, including liquor, beer and wine, or you can accompany her to the store to purchase your food and beverage. A trip to the gocery store with Tania is always a fun exprience.

In addition to Tania, included in our staff is an assistant housekeeper, a pool/gardener/errand person, an excursion and event planner and a security guard. Our property and staff manager, Gabino, (who speaks very good English) will arrange taxis or transportation. Gus (not part of our staff) will drop by to offer you an array of excursions that will be customized for you and your party. Gus can also arrange in-house, private, massages or other spa treatments.

Recommended and closest airport is POP (Puerto Plata). The closest alternative is STI (Santiago). We can arrange transportation to and from either airport. Transportation from STI is a more expensive, but no rental car is needed. The cost of taxi and transportation is not included in the rental fee.

In advance of your arrival, several emails will be sent with detailed information regarding our villa, staff, excursions, house rules, transportation and your culinary options. This will help answer any questions and make your vacation in paradise a dream come true.

Beautiful Property! Loved the pool and the staff is just top notch.
We absolutely enjoyed our time here at Villa Las Sirenas. Tonya, Joni, Narcisco, Gustavo and Gabino are all so amazing and welcoming. We throughly enjoyed all of our excursions and Gus made this all a breeze! (Paradise Island, Monkey Jungle, Dune Buggies through the jungle, Zipline, Fishing -Caught a Tuna- call High Zs and ask for Nelson! They leave right out of Ocean World, 27 Waterfalls! All of it was wonderful. Tonya's cooking was delicious 😋 😍 😌

The home & staff were all AMAZING. We weren’t sure at first how to feel about having other people with us all day but we loved them!They were all so attentive, kind, & fun with our personalities! Hopefully they felt the same about us:)The home was fabulous!!Every detail met with care. On the “con” side of the stay, the beach area left much to be desired. The picture on the listing was not at all what we saw. Being on our honeymoon with friends we were all extremely disappointed. We got there when bus loads of people were partying, and the next morning the trash was littered EVERYWHERE, beach/ocean included. Between the seaweed (God’s nature) & the trash everywhere, we never got in the water or wanted to be near it even when it seemed to be sort of cleaned a couple days after.There are some small resorts and hut shops on the beach which also didn’t appear in the beach picture. Our 1 beach day included a $60 round trip taxi ride to Sosua ~ 45 mins away & included lots of local heckling. So our “beach vacay” was mostly spent enjoying the house/pool & excursions which were awesome!! Do research on excursions before booking! Thank you Gus for everything! I hate to say ANYTHING negative about our trip but I want people to know this is a LOCAL area (we wanted). There is a mini market & several restaurants (GREAT) w/ super nice locals!! We mostly ate Tania’s delish food cooked at the house! (Don Limon’s bar was so fun also). Hearts from us —> staff:) I cried when leaving!

We spent 8 lovely days at the House of Mermaids. The home is beautiful, well appointed and the best are the staff. Tania, Yani, and Narciso take care of everything for you and are so welcoming and friendly. Gabino and the Stevens ensure you have the information needed for smooth entry into DR. Be prepared to be wowed and enjoy the view, the people and culture of DR. We can’t wait to return!

The Villa is beyond beautiful. The staff exceeded any expectations we had. Tania and Yanny are fantastic cooks, Narciso was there for anything we needed, Gus hooked us up with fantastic excursions, and Gabino made sure our every need was taken care of from airport transport, extra snacks, and any concerns at the Villa. Owners Paul and Nancy were quick to respond to all questions, and they offer so much general information about the DR to help ease any travel nerves. They were so kind and thorough. The beach is a short easy walk (and if you don’t want to walk, you can rent the golf cart at the Villa) It is beautiful with great waves for the kiddos, shops, eateries, rentals, etc. I cannot recommend this villa enough. Do yourself a favor and book this villa for your stay!

The House of Mermaids was very accommodating for our party of 13. The staff was wonderful and easy to communicate with. The view was spectacular. Gabino had the house ready for our arrival with our choice of beverages and snacks. Gus helped us with horseback riding, ATVs, a city tour of Puerto Plata, snorkling and jumping off waterfalls. Tania was an excellent chef. Yani and Narciso kept the house, grounds and pool very clean. Chelo made us fell safe at night watching the property. The property was an excellent choice for privacy and located within short walks to shops and restaurants. We would recommend this house to anyone visiting the D.R.

Family trip to celebrate a big birthday!
Our family came to stay for a week to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. Our group absolutely had a fantastic time. The house was very clean, the food was prepared as we requested and the team were a joy. We did a few excursions (snorkeling and buggies) and could walk to Ocean World and some local restaurants very easily. Some things that made our stay even better: we bought great microfiber towels (Amazon) that folded up very small, dried very quickly and easily repelled sand. Everyone in our party was also gifted a “personal bidet” (happypo brand, also from Amazon) which made the “no paper in the toilet” restriction very easy to adhere to. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

The two couples had an amazing time at the Villa The staff made the stayi extra special with their kindness. Nothing was too much trouble. Tonya’s, meals were outstanding! The villa and pool were impeccable. Gabino, thank you for all your organizing with airport transfers. The trip was amazing. Everything was exactly as anticipated. Fantastic!
Our family group of 6 had an excellent experience. The combination of great weather and fantastic support staff made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. The location and home was exactly as pictured - very beautiful. Every evening we had a nice breeze from the ocean and were able to hang out and enjoy the nice patio. Having Tonia and staff prepare our meals made our vacation super easy. Our adult kids walked down to the beach and went out for cocktails - no issues at all and very authentic Dominican experience. Paul and Nancy were super helpful and responsive to all our questions. We will return to DR and enjoy again in the future.

We had a great stay at Villa de las Sirenas! The staff- Tania, Yanni and Naricso, they were friendly, helpful and very accommodating (thank you again!). Area was very quiet which was nice. And the home is beautiful and spacious; because of the weather naturally it can get warm and humid inside in the house during the day - having the doors open helps - so try to take advantage of the great pool and nearby beach; and the AC can be used at night so that is a huge help. Overall, my family, we really enjoyed this stay.

Beautiful house with nice pool, and nice staff. The home has plenty of space with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. It’s located a short walk from the beach, although the beach isn’t the best beach near Puerto Plata. Gus will help with any excursions or transportation. We really enjoyed ourselves and would come back if we go back to DR.

DR Girls Trip
The house was amazing. We spent more time than I thought at the Villa. It's perfect. Add the outstanding staff and this property is the ideal vacation villa. Gus set up perfect tours and gave us plenty of advice to decide which excursions would work best for our group. I would definitely rent this Villa again. The property owners and staff assistance with the travel tips, getting around and area suggestions were also very helpful when leaving the property. Thank you all for everything during our stay!!!

Such a beautiful home! We had a wonderful time. It was a real treat to have the staff preparing our food and keeping the place spotless. My favorite part was sitting on the upstairs porch with the breeze from the ocean washing over me. If you're looking for activity, you'll have to book adventures through Gus or another travel planner. These choices are fun, but definitely designed for the tourist. I recommend the ATV trip - ideal for teens! We were able to book a fishing excursion, bring home the fresh fish, and have Tania cook it for us. Awesome! If order to get off the beaten track, you'll need to be bilingual and to book with a local taxi driver. This is NOT the place to rent a car and attempt to navigate on your own. Traffic rules are non existent here. Also, be prepared to witness all the bumps and bruises of society - prostitutes, pollution, police armed with machine guns... If you're up for adventure, though, this is an amazing home do be based at. Thank you, Paul and Nancy!

Everything about our stay was amazing! Tanya and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful, and Gus was both helpful and accommodating with our excursions and massages. Tanya had picked up groceries and made dinner for our arrival, and we even went to the store with her to get a more authentic Dominican Experience. Everything she made us was delicious and the house was kept very clean. The pool was fantastic for our two tweens to play in and the view of the ocean from the backyard was beautiful. The beach was also lovely to swim in and if you look for the rockier sand you can also find sea glass. We brought cash but also went to the ATM at ocean world to get money for our excursions and poolside massages. You will not be disappointed with your stay!
