Unfortunately weddings were taking up most of the resort during our stay. Not much space for kids to play in sun (kids pool inside). Food wasn’t good. We decided to leave early.

Not child friendly. Small property, no grass only concrete which surrounds the pool and is slippery. Was ignored at the pool bar and again while waiting for entry into the dinner buffet (which opened late). Is all inclusive in the way that costs are covered although restaurants/bars/services have limited hours. Private beach is nice although small and on a slope, waves are massive which is kind of cool but hardly safe to swim in (especially for kids). Seems like a choice boutique hotel for locals - we were basically the only English speaking guests and staff were very difficult to communicate with. We were booked for a week but decided to cut our losses and left after one night as we felt uncomfortable and didn’t feel we could enjoy our vacation at this resort.

This was our first trip to Peurto Vallarta. The Grand Park Royal is in a beautiful spot (10 min by cab) to the Zona Romantica. We were able to climb thr beach boulders for 35 min to Playa Paredon and we walked to Los Arcos, finding a quiet beach along the way with no one else there. Thr hotel itself is well.positioned with all rooms looking over the beach and ocean. We watched whales breaching in the morning while sipping coffee on our balcony. We swam, floated and enjoyed the salty surf in the afternoons. Every night offers different types of entertainment and the only downside to this is that you cant escape the loud music and excited screams of other guests. After 11pm all was quiet again so its only a small inconvenience. If you are looking for quiet, adults only there is a rooftop patio and pool (more $$) otherwise youre stuck with a variety of familes and loud entertainment during the afternoons. The food was decent (some days better than others) the staff was amazing and friendly. In room coffee wasnt available because the resort couldnt get the nespresso pods they needed, but the cafe had everything we needed. Bring a hairdryer... they dont supply them or just live with wet hair all day every day. If i was the kind of person who liked repetitive holidays I would go back!

We stayed 9 days hardly any one spoke English so hard to talk to staff food was very limited on variety and was almost always cold pool chairs were broken and good ones were taken by 7am pool dosnt open till 8 room was clean but some times doornob wouldn't work other than that trip was ok

This was our first time on the west side of Mexico and it was an excellent vacation! The staff is amazing. Brianda makes the best after- dinner mudslides and Manuel "always a double" is a gem! Jorge, Carlos, George, and Israel are the BEST! The staff works very hard to ensure you're taken care of. Food was excellent! Best mole I've ever had! I felt very safe. Our room was always clean and we even had turn-down service ❤️ Beach is great- just missing more loungers for the non-pool people like us!

The Hotel is not a 5 star hotel as promoted the rooms were dirty and with mold, pools were dirty and old needed to be resurfaced. We found unsafe areas for kids or even adults for that matter with missing rails on balconies and broken glass. And I found two pieces of hard plastic items inside my soup in El Pescador Restaurant. I complained about every single item I just listed and absolutely nothing was done the only thing I was told was that they were going to report it to management however no one came to addressed any of my complaints during my stay of 6 days which I regret taking my family there in the first place.

10 Service and Facility-ammenties need to be improved-stained furniture when you check in “used and neglected fabric furniture if rooms…and pool needs a COMPLETE REPLASTERING along with pool at end of day needs to be shocked to have water CLEANER AND CLEAR…. I return due to the beach having the most hidden spot in Vallarta!!!! Clear beach water and sand is so Light and CLEAN…CLEAN…CLEAN BEACH WATER NOT MIXED WITH THE TOXIC MARINA WATER FROM DOWNTOWN VALLARTA AND THE CRUISE SHIPS!!!!
