Just returned from the Sunset Plaza ! The service and friendliness of the staff was amazing ! Everything was very very clean and well maintained! The resort was very quiet with only one main dining option per night because of low season. However there was pizza and a snack coffee shop open as well ! We were very impressed with our overall stay - the only area that could be improved is the food choices for supper - menu was very limited but the meals we had were quite tasty ! Special shout out to our Butler Rueben and activity director Raul !! Thanks for a great holiday !

Very clean property, the rooms were clean, the housekeeping did a fantastic job. The food was absolutely outstanding. The thing I loved a lot was the fragrance in the lobby area and the limen smell. Only had one issue, when wanted to take food to the room, the waitress Regina was very rude with a very bad attitude. Felt very uncomfortable. Everything else was just amazingly good.

We stayed in the 1 bedroom oceanfront suite and had the all inclusive package. We really liked the staff, they were always so nice and the service was excellent. The room we had was very nice, it was huge actually (1195sqft). We were actually quite impressed with the food, it was good quality, well prepared and nicely presented. There is currently only two restaurants (and a pizza place and bakery), reservations are required at one of them.) There service at Luciano's was some of the best we have experienced, thanks Francisco!. The pools were nice with daily cleaning and water chemistry maintenance (which was needed as we saw several people never leave the pool for hours at a time while drinking, not the resorts fault, come on. adults should know better!!) The pool bar and Mirador restaurant also had very good food, I was not expecting much from it but was pleasantly surprised. The staff there (Jorge, Christopher, Alan, Jose, Miguel and Fernando to name a few) were always friendly and providing excellent service. Raul (aka Pancho) was always there smiling and providing fun activities, towels etc. for the guests. There is some noise due to the expansion of the hotel but it wasn't terrible. There is also a ventilation fan on top of Luciano's (?) that starts up late afternoon and is somewhat annoying, at least it was on the 5th floor balcony when trying to relax or talk, ground level it was barely noticeable.

The staff is awesome very helpful. Thank you again for a great vacation. Food was good and drinks were great. Nice views of the ocean. This place is more for couples they are all lifestyle place which is fine. If you are looking for a party not the place to be. But overall had a great time there.

We had excellent service - the housekeeping in the room was very good. The food was among the best we have had at an all-inclusive resort. Construction was going on to add additional rooms to the property, but it didn't bother us much. The wait staff at the restaurants was excellent.

The food was terrible. As a vip customer I expected better quality and bigger variety. The breakfast was horrible. Uncooked omelet and small portions. The waiters expected me to tip them out all the time. About the cleaning service they are coming into your room after 12:00 and that makes you feel uncomfortable because you can’t relax into your room. This hotel doesn’t look like all inclusive but it looks more like a la carte

My ONLY gripe is last time I went July 19-20th 2024 I requested my VIP upgrade and was told they NEVER do that only higher floor which is UNTRUE because I have received it before. and it was available because she offered it with for an additional $80 per night.... Outside of that Sunset Plaza is my FAVE place to stay in PVR ! I've seen and been to others BUT there service is unmatched! Every person I bring there wants to return & I've been 5x and counting! Maybe they will honor next time...

We love to be in front of the beach but the hotel is a bit old Excellent staff , extremely kind . Unfortunately food wasn’t good . We went out for restaurant 3/5 evening
