It is a beautiful and comfortable hotel on the beach, with very good beds and delicious breakfast. The staff is very kind and helpful. However, it can get really noisy during the weekend (we stayed 3 nights) because it is located right behind the town's main square where there are very loud speakers during the day. Also, there's a soccer field next to the hotel, also with loud speakers until late at night, and they played several times on Saturday and Sunday. Monday night was quiet.

Nice hotel, uneven service.
Spent 3 nights here. The hotel was as advertised - right across from the beach, bright and well appointed with a small balcony that opened out to the road across from the beach. The internet was wonky - there were at least 3 different wifis, none of which worked all that week from our room (first floor, beach facing). Breakfast was good, the pool was nice and in an open area. When we confirmed, as required that we would arrive on our date and time, the day before via ferry, the hotel rep responded ā€œweā€™ll be waiting for you.ā€ No one showed up at the dock, when we asked the desk attendant she flatly said ā€œwe donā€™t do that, Iā€™m not sure who told you thatā€ - so we showed the message, and the response was ā€œsomeone in Quito wrote that, I donā€™t know why, Iā€™ll look into it.ā€ We didnā€™t hear back. Finally, be forewarned, they billed us for the room a full 2 months before the trip (even before the cancellation/refund period lapsed) ā€œto reserve our roomā€ because of high season. Not a huge problem, just not something that was expected based on selecting the ā€œpay at the propertyā€ option.

The property and people were great. Their is a community soccer field adjoining the property on the side I stayed on and my room has an open screen window. Their were soccer games and music often in the mornings and one night until midnight, so it was noisy.

Overall this place was nice and we would stay there again. However, there were a couple of things that we would say, could make things a bit better. First, WiFi in the rooms. They had WiFi in the common area but when youā€™re on vacation and planning, sometimes you just want to lay down or post some pictures. Second, the VIP breakfast we received (for one day only) was subpar and itā€™s not worth the $12 per person/per day they charge. You can get a better breakfast somewhere else. Lastly, they have the hot tub as an amenity but they no longer have it. Bring it back! It would have been amazing to relax in there after the Sierra Negra hike.

Fantastic place
Best hotel on the island. Wonderful location, amazing view from the beach facing rooms. Incredibly helpful staff. I booked for 2 nights and then extended for a full week. Definitely a highlight of my 4-week stay in the Galapagos. The staff can make recommendations and assist with whatever you need. Bicycle rentals, laundry, tour offices all nearby. Do not hesitate to book this property. Isla Isabela has a laid back vibe but plenty to do. Giant tortoises on the bike path, and marine iguans everywhere.

Louis and the staff are very friendly. Room was big. Breakfast was good. No internet in the room was a little annoying as we had to step out of the room for internet connection. Nice beach in front of the hotel.

We stayed 7 days at beautiful Hotel Albemarle. The location was perfect, with gorgeous white-sand Isabela beach just steps out the front door of the hotel. We had an ocean-facing room which included a small balcony with seats to relax and enjoy the beautiful view. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We loved the beautiful French doors which opened to the balcony and let in the ocean breeze and sound of the waves crashing onto shore---very relaxing! A roof top sun terrace was a great place to have a drink and enjoy watching the sun set. We enjoyed a coffee each morning poolside while we planned our activities for the day. The property was well maintained, beautiful and clean. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Breakfast is not included and costs $12 per person which seemed about average compared to nearby restaurants. We generally went to a mini market to buy some fruit each day rather than buy the full breakfast. The only thing I would have preferred would be a coffee pot in our room or coffee available downstairs earlier in the morning. Coffee isn't available until 7am and if you are an early riser it's difficult to wait that long for a cup of coffee! This is the only higher-end hotel I've stayed in that hasn't included a coffee pot in-room. However, that is a minor complaint. Overall we had an excellent stay and would highly recommend the property!

The Front desk receptionist is super nice to us, allowing us to have a late checkout after our diving tour, so that we could take a shower before our Ferry. All the amenities, location, and all other things are probably the best on this island that you could find.

The staff were more interested in their own music as we struggled with our luggage the young man at the desk played his game on the computer in full sight. We asked for hard boiled eggs for an early departure and that was ignored.
