The resort was fabulous. Staff were exceptional, courteous, friendly, engaged, and helpful at every turn. The pool and beach were spectacular. I was worried about the food, but did not need to as the verity provided was very diverse and changed routinely, AND everything was delicious. The only negative experience I had was when I had to leave as I did NOT want to.

The property was beautiful, clean and well maintained. The room was large and had everything we needed. Only downside was the mattress was a little thin and too firm for my liking. The food was good. The buffet was average and the al a carte restaurants were good. Our favorite was MEAT. The steaks there were really good! The beach was our favorite part. It was clean and the little bungalows for shade were fantasic when you wanted a break from the sun. The best thing about the Ambar was the service. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. With the quality of service we got, we will come back!

The resort was nice and well organized with several types of lodgings in one area. The Ambar is adults only and accessible by resort trolley which different and gave a sense exclusivity from other resort in the community. The beach was clean, the water was clear and warm. The amenities were good. The staff and grounds keeper were great, helpful and welcoming really the heart of the resort.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and beautiful. We had a swim-up suite, and it was definitely worth it. We used the private pool over the public one. The property is large, but the trams are accessible. Most restaurants were very good, but recommend booking on the app prior to arrival or some will be full. You can also use restaurants at the other Bahia properties.

Beautiful resort, walkable. As far as improvements some better communication-as to what it has to offer. You're pretty much on your own and finding things. We would find something new as we walked days later. Have a map available in the room because the app one isnt user friendly. Buffet food was cold often.

The staff at Bahia Ambar was very accommodating and friendly. The dining was good however the restaurants and making accommodations through the app was not up to par and we had to go to the front desk to book any specialty dining. Outside of that it was very relaxing and good. 7 day stay

Some of the staff were less than friendly. The fridge in our room did not work and when we inquired 10 minutes after check in, the response was that the fridge is just there to store things and we could ask for ice. After asking a few other guests, we were told that their fridges worked. It was very disappointing not to have cold drinks in our room as that is what you would expect when a mini bar is promoted.

All-inclusive adults-only. Entertainment crew was the best! Morning to night activities kept us engaged. Quality has dropped at the property. Alcohol is low quality and bartenders at pool bar were impatient and rude if you don’t order fast enough. Area around pool was strewn with empty drink cups because only 1 server served and cleaned after everyone. When we arrived from the airport, the shuttle/train to our VIP resort took over 20-min to arrive. We were hot and sweaty. We had to ask for water. In the past 10yrs, they served us a welcome drink upon arrival. The bed was the worst experience. It felt like sleeping on wood. A huge downgrade! The boxspring is thick but there’s no separate mattress unit on top. Just a thin layer built-in right on top of the box spring. Gym: excellent! Lobby: too hot from morning to night. It appears they no longer run the AC Lobby restrooms: urinal has very low pressure to wash away. Also too hot. No AC Specialty restaurants: excellent! Good quality. However, too hot! No AC running. Coffee shop: very good on some days. Other days, staff spend more time serving other employees coffee and pastries than serving paying guests. Also AC was turned off. It was too hot!
